1 Attachment(s)
here is panaramic mode... it automatically takes up to 6 shots and stictches them together

just tried it out after i mowed my yard(s)

the catch is it only seems to do panaramic mode at 3MP instead of 8... this quick shot is only 2 shots stitched together if you shooting at something more close up it takes the 6..

as for 2.2 i wonder if the X gets it next week too? i know droid 2 comes preloaded with it....

there are a couple of apps that tether for 2.1, 2.2 just makes it native. I use EasyTether, works great.

Motorola says original Droid 'doesn't have the hardware' to support a mobile hotspot -- Engadget

MightyBobo 08-02-2010 12:25 PM

I think mobile hotspots are kinda silly anyway, especially since USB tethering is free and everyone wants to charge for mobile hotspots...

I mean, I can see the usage, but its just not something I personally care much about.

370zproject 08-02-2010 02:01 PM

The Moto Droid 2 and Droid X were the latest ones that were leaked a ton - dont think there are any others in particular in the pipeline that are known.

Its assumed that dual core CPU ones are coming out EVENTUALLY, along w/ LTE variants for verizon...

370zproject 08-03-2010 01:34 AM

My pleasure.

theDreamer 08-04-2010 10:00 AM

Will download this in a bit, how is performance for you guys?

Trips 08-04-2010 10:03 AM

It seems a little more snappy?
Even with the live wallpaper being used.

theDreamer 08-04-2010 10:05 AM

I still have yet to really use a live wallpaper, is it worth it or more of just a battery drain?

Trips 08-04-2010 10:08 AM

Its ok?
Now We have flash, try to log in to our site and see the avatars finally move.

HKYStormFront 08-04-2010 12:35 PM

i'm using the green fiber optics background MC posted in the droid X wallpapers collection, love it (not a live background)

theDreamer 08-04-2010 12:36 PM

Got the update up and running, now with 5 screens I do not know what to put on all of them.
Things feel a bit snappier, overall it feels like a minor update but nice overall.

HKYStormFront 08-04-2010 12:54 PM

flash player is the big deal

damn that didn't work right lol

MC 08-04-2010 07:59 PM

so there is this app called "fastest droid" that measures top speed 1/4 and 0-60 times... everyone go download it and see who has the record for 0-60 hehe.....

no seriously im not sure how accurate it was but i just laid the phone in the seat and was off.... best time it recorded was 3.007 seconds.... that might be a tenth or 2 fast but i got a perfect launch and shifted exactly at redline.... kind of fun...

HKYStormFront 08-04-2010 08:03 PM

sounds about right based on my memory haha

yeah i wish i had a place do try 1/4 to see how it compares vs the known strip times.....

i do think its pretty close because the app knew when you were in motion and wouldnt let me start until the car was at a complete stop...
