Anyone else pick up the new Verizon DROID?

why are you guys tripping about apps? LOL... trust me ... android will have enough apps soon... But hardware and interface wise... your iphone is smoother only cus you are used to it... IMO the droid is FAR better than any iPhone i have used... not to mention you have a frekin keyboard lol

Well I'm about to pull the trigger on one later today. Like mentioned before, I was planning on the BB Tour but this made me change my decision within a matter of minutes.

not so much droid fanboy as much as iPhone HATER... fu(K apple ... and FU(K AT&T... they are LAME companies that are out to make a buck and also happen to not care about service - its all about image... and what does image get you at the end of the day? Not a dam thing

You should probably NOT be driving a Z if you think I got it for "image" LMAO.. the Z is one of the first cars that comes to mind when you think of a "SPORTS CAR"... sounds to me like YOU got the Z for Image... LOL

LOL how is my fanboy force strong based on that comment? All I was saying was if you feel the Z is all image.. So did you get your Z for image? I mean that is what your comment indicated correct?

You have another thing coming at ya if you think people who get Z's get them for the image of a Z lol... its a sports car and I purchased one to DRIVE... If I cared about image... I would be in a lexus or benz... The point I was making had NOTHING to do w/ a cellphone so your comment is pretty irrelevant. Anyhow back on topic:

One of the only reason I feel android is much better than apple is simply due to the freedom given to application developers and users alike. I can choose to make my own pinch to zoom app and use it myself or load it up on the store. I could write my own teather app and get internet on my laptop. The list is endless and I dont need apple to say ... oh we dont need this app on our store. With apple - you are spoon-fed and have no choice but to go w/ whats available. With android - you make whats available so instead of bitching and moaning to apple - you can implement it yourself. I see the android phones atleast for the next year or so be predominantly used by folks who have some programing know-how. Eventually when the app market is saturated - I would imaging other adopters would join in giving apple a run for their money.

Well he does have a point with the iPhones. Most iPhone users I come across(especially online) loves to rub it in my face of how amazing their phone is though I am fine with my current phone. At the end of the day, it's just a phone.

and for what its worth - i let all my coworkers (we all work for a HUGE H/W S/W company - so all of em are pretty into early adoption of techy stuff...) and they were drolling over how much better it was when compared to their iPhones. Heck... a guy i work with went over to Verizon and signed up for one at lunch - says he is going to give his iPhone to his wife LOL...

I just got mine as promised and since I have this pet peeve of charging the phone to full before operating it for the first time, my reviews will have to wait.

molamann - get the Barcode Scanner from the marketplace

. Its badass when shopping around.

Sorry, was busy installing my oil cooler today. Didnt get to play with it much. What I LOVED is the security feature for locking it. No numbers - it puts 9 dots on the screen and you can simply connect them in a certain order - that is the password.
