There is maybe 1 or 2 370z where I live, and they dont have tomei, so video is all I have :( but I agree audio from a camera is not the same as hearing in person

I need some more help. I was wondering if I could trade my non bent bar for one that is bent. I work from when the sun comes up till the sun comes down and I cannot find a shop that's open in my area that can bend the bar. Let me know of anyone is willing to trade. I'll pay shipping/whatever it costs to get bent

I don't think that's going to be easy to find.

Do none of the shops have a hydraulic press?

you love cops?

Top of the frame says " Designated Doughnut Delivery Vehicle". Goes well with that exhaust in a state that doesn't allow modified exhausts.

Initial review of the Motordyne Resonated XYZ. Totally worth it! I would say that I am 80% happy with the results.

The nasty sound on decel is gone, rather than a raspy can of bees, its a nice hum. Want it loud? Floor it, the exhaust still screams at full tilt. It's no longer obnoxious when driving calmly. The SRM blips don't shake the earth like they used to. I say 80% because that's a good estimation about how much it has cleaned up the sound. It can still get raspy above 4K, when driving with spirit.

I still haven't heard it from a cold start, another pain point with the Tomei setup, but I have high hopes. I'm also looking forward to see how the sound will change after a few heat cycles, once the resonator adjusts.

EDIT: I should add that there were no fitment issues connecting to the FI LTHs and the Y-Back section of the Tomei. Also, the 2.5" gaskets included with the Tomei are crap. It was my intention to reuse them, but they crumbled as soon as I removed the bolts. The 3" gasket held up fine.

I dissliked the kitsap county cops. The first day i moved to silverdale i got a speeding ticket for 5 over at the exact location of a speed limit change. I also got cited for having out of state plates too that i had to contest since i had not lived there for > 30 days. WA cops are pretty disgruntled individules.

316 whp and 249wtq @ 7.7k rpm. Was 318whp at 8k, but I didn't feel comfortable leaving the redline that high so I had him knock it back to 7.7k. I factory baselined at 273. Gen3 CAI / Z1 test pipes / Tomie y-pipe / Tomie y-back. Will have a video up on youtube of the dyno run. This was on a DynoJet.

I also took a dB meter with me just out of curiosity, I measured my friends 350z with test pipes and injen exhaust, he hit 106dB from about 20' away. I measured mine the same way and at ~4k rpm I went over 130dB and I turned away and ran back. For almost an hour my left ear hurt like a bastard since that was the one that turned into it as I turned around really quickly. Lol Even the tuner was' "that is a loud exhaust, um yeah, increadibly loud". After the first pull he grabbed ear muffs off the wall.

322 / 260 for me! Z1 Dynojet. The general consensus from the Z1 crew was that my car is as loud as their race car... When John was doing the pulls, I could feel the exhaust rumble in my chest from about 15' away. I have a quickie cell phone video of one of the pulls, but they also shot a video as well. Once it is posted online, I will post it on the forums.

Nice vid! Really highlights the "expreme" sound. Also, what was with the wing on that other 370? Way too big. Although, it did look like it was pulling on you pretty hard, supercharger?

No supercharger, but this is a novice session. It's more for learning than actually trying to race someone.

Also, my friend got a pretty good deal on that wing/hatch combo. It works for what he uses the car for.
