Having said that, the only mods I will do for performance will be exhaust, rhfc, and maybe intake. After hearing feedback from last thread concerning the intake, I figured this was worth starting a new thread.

I have narrowed the I takes down to the following.

1. Injen sp1989. $490.00
2. Injen sp1990. $499.99 (what's difference?)
3. Stillen generation 2 $422.00
4. Stillen generation 3 $535.00

Questions:

1. How much estimate hp will these add?
2. Which ones require removing the front bumper? And is it the full actual bumper that has to come off?
3. Which ones are easiest to install and maintain (changing filters )
4. Do these filters last similar to regular air filters
5. If I do the intake as well as other mods, do I need a tune? I have heard no and yes. Some say you can lose hp if tune isn't necessary.

Thanks for all your help
AFE Takeda Stage 2 CAI. You have to pull the front bumper but no other modification required, unlike the Stillen G3.

Good info. Wonder if produce same hp?

I admit, leaning toward g3 but don't want to mess with all the modification needed to mount it. This may be a good alternative.

Don't let the "modifications" required scare you. Theres a hole in the plastic radiator support that needs to be a touch bigger to fit the piping. It's a ten minute job with a Dremel. It's not something that's going to damage the car.

All the modification?
If you have a Dremel you can cut the radiator bracket in...45 seconds...
And no way it makes as high of HP just because it will have turbulent airflow, but it's negligible

I think we need the mods to add a 'beating a dead horse' smiley.

Don't worry OP will be starting hundreds of duplicate threads about the same old sh1t. Next up "which oil is best" then "do I need an oil cooler" lets not forget my personal favorite "what's better MT or AT?" Go check out the great threads he has already started.

Has anyone tried or is there another sub forum about the Nismo Intake? I'm pretty sure AEM makes it

could you go into detail about the turbulent airflow? is it because they share the same filter?

Ok. So now I will have the following mods. Do I need a tune?

1. CAI Gen3
2. FI cbe
3. Will prob add rhfc

I have read both. No tune and tune. Not too many 'tuners' around here in Iowa.

no you wont, you can run full bolt ons without a tune, its just recommended to get a tune so you get the most power from those mods
