I'm finally having my PPE headers installed next week. Rest of the exhaust will be take off Nismo, with factory H pipe.
Anyone have any thoughts on whether I should expect hissing at decel or the farting sounds common to unresonated TP's around 2.5 - 3K? I'm hoping not... The vids of Firehawk's set up sounded great, but I'm not sure whether that was before or after the HFC was included.

You will be able to detect the decel hiss. There won't be any rasp or any other unpleasant sounds. It sounds almost factory. Hope this helps. |

On my previous Z, I tried a bigger diameter Y pipe and the hiss drove me crazy. Got rid of it in under a week. Hopefully, it won't be quite as bad Thanks for the info

The hiss will be there, I did not find it to be bothersome, even when the car was still being street driven regularly. It isn't super loud like with an aftermarket exhaust + LTH. But that hiss will be basically the only hint to bystanders that there's anything non-stock about the exhaust. That Nismo system is pretty damned quiet while still making very respectable power. |
