Arrow Takeda Intake Installed!

I had a visit today from UPS...

He delivered two packages, one was the Takeda Intake, and the other was the Covercraft Heatshield.

I got the heatshield from Covercraft UV Shield Sun Shade - Free Shipping for 45 bucks and free shipping!

use this coupon code and get an extra 5% off CTASAVE5

Anyway on to the good stuff...

alright first impressions were very good. The package was very well packed and padded inside with plenty of airbags...
Also Takeda throws some freebies in, a license plate frame, a key chain, stickers, and a 20% off coupon card.

build quality seemed well enough, material is very lightweight...

I downloaded PDF installation instructions from Takedas website. The instructions were easy enough to decipher. Only gripes I had with the instructions is that they dont tell you that you may have to trim the rubber hoses. I had to cut 3/4" off of both pieces, no biggie.

Second gripe is, at the end of the instructions they dont tell you to reconnect the battery, I know no biggie right...

My overall impression of the install is a positive one. On the right side install they tell you to tighten down the front bracket first. Thats for good reason, if you dont the pipe will slip out of the rubber hose adapter as you tighten down the clamp. So by tightening the front bracket first you avoid having the tube slip out of the rubber adapter at the TB as you tighten the clamp.

Also by disconnecting the battery you loose the default auto up window function, so to reset it you simply roll the window all the way up and continue holding the switch for about 5 seconds. Youll have to do that for both windows.

And lastly I did this install in my garage where it is currently 102 degrees outside, meaning my garage was probably around 112 degrees, ya it was HOT!

nuff said, heres some pics and a video, sorry for the blurry ones my camera is a POS and I need a new one...

And heres the video, I really like the aggressive sound. i took it around the block with the windows down and man does it have a wicked little growl!
