Default Megan racing headers?

So I am looking at purchasing new headers and while looking online I saw the Megan racing headers were significantly cheaper than all the other headers out there. I know that's the case with most of their products, I have their CBE which I love and it was a lot cheaper than a lot of the other CBE out there. Megan racing says their headers are made from T-304 SS and is only $288 on their website. Then I see stillens which is almost $700 at Z1 for the ones made of T-304 SS. So from that aspect Megan racing seem to be a lot better deal. However I do not know how well they perform and fit. I have no problem spending more money for a better product but at the same time if their product is the same or better for less than half the price then it's foolish to get the more expensive one. Ideally I could by long tube headers but i dont know where i am going to end up living in 5 years so i dont want to buy them and have to take them off to pass inspection. So im stuck with getting headers and leaving the cats alone. So has anyone got the Megan racing headers and if so how are they working out?

Shorty headers aren't worth the time to install unless they're momentum headers.
If you want headers, go long tubes. Don't cheap out

Let me be blunt here. Imagine you are trying to do this install yourself. Read up on the horrors of a header install, the demon bolt, etc. Now imagine getting it all torn apart and you are putting it back together. You notice that your exhaust no longer aligns with your cats that you just bolted up to the header. I wouldn't waste my time with a shorty header with only one exception. Hint: Megan is not it.

The Z comes stock with tubular headers, the flow very well and gains are minimal over most comparable short headers. I don't suggest the upgrade with Megan headers. If you do the work yourself, and you feel you won't commit suicide if they don't fit perfectly after you get them in there, feel free. If someone else is installing, it's not worth the price for the minimal gains. If you want gains, go long tubes.

Edit: LMFAO DE, damn near verbatim

I appreciate the honestly guys. I don't think I'm going to bother with headers for now then. Thanks

If I were you, I would look at HFC's or RTP's and call it a day. MR&Mrs is selling some used Berks. Decent gains, more volume and won't break the wallet. Just beware of the demon bolts.

That sounds tempting however if I move back to California then I don't think I would pass emissions there so I would rather not mess with my cats for now, at least until I know I'm not going back.

You technically wouldn't pass with headers in CA either.
I'm in CA, once you take the factory bolt out, it's easier to undo aftermarket ones. I've undone my HFCs and TPs 5 times now to keep swapping them
