Nismo exhaust install possibly went wrong. Fitment issues from NismotoBase?

Might be it just had the one, I thought it had another on the other side too, bad memory I guess.

I ran both with a hanger and without at that position and the exhaust didn't fit any different without it. I feel very comfortable with just telling people to leave it off, it really isn't needed.

hmm I just got my nismo exhaust today and the guy at the body shop told me that it should be fine without it cause it was still pretty sturdy without it...wondering if I should do something about it or just leave it as is

Everything seemed great until after a week or so, then I started to notice that one of the sides of the exhaust seems to stick out a 1/2 inch more then the other side of the exhaust. After I had the exhaust installed, one of the shop managers said everything mounted up perfect except one side, but it shouldn't effect anything.

I took a few pictures but is this normal for the factory Nismo exhaust to not perfectly fit on the base model cars? I didn't read anything about the Nismo exhaust tips extending more then one another.

Maybe I'm making to big of a deal out of things but I would like the exhaust to fit as close to factory as possible and it's starting to bug the **** out of me. I did notice (pictures below) on the driver side exhaust section, one of the exhaust peg bracket is just hanging not connected to anything. What do you think?

Moving to Westerville in 4 days.

As for CBE that's weird with it being factory. U always have to install it though with all bolts lose then go little by little. I added 18" resonators to my CBE that I already had to modify because it didn't fit and was off like yours. So I had to spend more time fixing that. **** just happens I guess. As for the hanger, the 13's don't come with one in that location.

Then you're the only one because several others don't have one either. Show me your OEM exhaust you took off, because I sure as hell don't have a place where the mount would even go to. 13's only have 4 mounting locations unlike older years and the nismo exhaust that have 5.

You mean you dont have the metal hanger bracket on the muffler, or you dont have the rubber bushing that bolts to the car?

Ok I just picked up a Nismo exhaust, so let me get this straight. The base models are missing a mounting bracket that the front muffler rubber hanger is supposed to connect to, part # 20794 in the diagram below.

So in lieu of the the bracket (which a parts site has listed for $200) I can use that $6 extra long rubber hanger ("insulator" as they call it) from amazon.

I just didn't bother attaching it there.

Didn't cause any issues.

Well I just did the Nismo CBE install yesterday and I had the same issue. The driver side tip stuck out about 1/2" further and was about 1/4" lower than the passenger tip. I lowered the passenger side bracket using washers and that seemed to help. The tips hang level, but the driver's side still sticks out about 1/4" more. Not noticeable to the casual observer, but the OCD side of me can't stop thinking about it!

I'll order that longer exhaust hanger from amazon and see if that helps any.

Installed the longer exhaust hanger this weekend, but didn't help much. I still had to use washers on the passenger side bracket to get them to hang level and the driver side tip still sticks out about a 1/4"-1/2".

This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to install the H-pipe upside down? It looked symmetrical to me.
