There's very few things I don't know how to do on my car, and the things I don't know are quickly being learned. The best thing you can do is ask a crap load of questions and then just get under there and do it. The feeling of accomplishment you get afterwards is totally worth it. Plus when you're showing your car off and people look at you kinda amazed when you tell them nobody has touched your car but you is awesome
I tend to sort of agree. I can understand if you can't do it yourself, but there is a bit of pride to doing it on your own. That being said, I do farm out a lot of my stuff now, not because I can't do it, but with two full time jobs, I can earn more money in the time I would take to do it myself than I have to pay to have it done, and I love freeing a garage space up and leaving my car at Z1 for weeks at a time (not because they are slow, but because they are far away.) I usually drop it off on the way home from a track day in Alabama and pick it up right before the next one when I need stuff done.
