Then I went out to get proper tools. First time installing anything on any car outside of maintenance stuff. 3 hours? They'd have to be the most incompetent shop ever. Should be a 1 hr job if they know what they are doing.

That sounds like my own personal hell... 3 hours with an adjustable wrench.
