oh I already have been in contact with tony.
just looking at how much the taxes and **** will be since I will have to pick it up at the airport so they will check out the package most likely |

more like 21% :roflpuke2: |

Sorry bro. I feel your pain from while I was over there for 3 years, orderin car parts was not fun. |
tax is no problem if its gets delivered here directly but heavy packages like an exhaust needs to be picked up at the office place thing -_- so instant tax

for example the stillen intakes. they got shipped to my home directly so they didn't check it. but since the package will be at their office they WILL check it and do "ok this is the price you paid? ok + 21%"
|
Sounds like a good time to move to America bro.
|
I know this might sound like more, but why not request to have it shipped in individual pieces, a bit more on shipping but overall less on tax maybe?
Not sure what the weight limit is but Stillen intake is close to 20lbs and I bet most of the pieces individually are less than that. |
interesting might have to ask tony about that
|
Excuse me for being dumb but how do I place an order on these? From what I've read I will be charged 25% of the total price up front, and when my exhaust is complete and ready to ship I will be billed the rest? How much is the exhaust with shipping?
Also, last but not least I do plan on getting HFCs in the future but is it a requirement to see gains with this exhaust? Edit: Also I realize the wait for this exhaust is over one month, but that's fine for me! Edit2: Oops I R dumb, just saw the posted gains on stock cats, real nice! |
Send a PM to: Nissan 370Z Forum - View Profile: F.I. Inc.
All pricing should be on the first page, but shipping will vary based on location but he can help you out with that if you include a zip code. No exhaust needs HFC to see gains, but HFC plus an exhaust is the current ideal setup for optimal gains while also staying legal in most states. |

Your credit card isn't charged until your order ships. All of the info should be in the first post of this thread. And no, HFCs aren't required to see any gains. The exhaust is good for 20whp. |

Hey Tony, I've had my exhaust on for about 2 months now and I have a few questions. I got my system intalled at my local Midas and they really seem to know what their doing. I say this because I have gotten to know them over the past few months and they have all the answers. My point is that when I originaly got it installed, they used paper gaskets to seal it instead of the high temperature silicon that is said to be used in the instructions. It was installed succesfully and all was well for the first few weeks. After that I began hearing a hissing sound when I let off the gas and as the car slowed down. It sounded like a leakage but I wasn't sure so I left it for a week or so. About this time my "service engine soon" light came on. I took it into the dealership yesterday and they told me I had a blown front gasket that was throwing the cars sensors off. Knowing this I immediately took it to Midas and they confirmed this. They then proceeded to reseal it with the high temperature silicon. We followed the instructions on the package completely. Even letting it sit 2 hours before tightening the bolts. Yet, as I drove away I could hear the same old hissing. I have not confirmed that the gasket has blown again but I would guess it is. I am not positive if it was just the front gasket that was blown but I believe that was the only one. My question is a simple "what should I do?". I could look into getting metal gaskets to seal it but I was just wondering what you thought on the situation. Thanks P.S. I had them check for any other sources of leakage and they did not see any. Thanks again.

Ok, here we go. First off where did they get a paper gasket to fit that bolt configuration? 2nd, why did they not follow the instructions the first time? 3, please tell me that they DID NOT use the stock metal crush ring from the stock cats!!! Last but not least if they did, then they most likely warped the flange on the HFC which will not allow it to sit flush with the stock manifold flange. If they somehow managed not to warp the flange then they must not of used either the correct kind of silicone (YOU NEED HIGH TEMP RED) or apply a thick enough coat evenly. I do apologize for the inconvenience but this is exactly why I always tell people to follow the instructions. The exhaust leak prior to the O2 sensor is without a doubt what is causing the CEL light. If you would like, you are more than welcome to call me and we can discuss this. I am here to help, as ,much as I can... Thank you, Tony P.S.- No BS as I was spell checking this I just heard a Midas (BRAKE) commercial. Now that is irony if I ever heard it! |
Thanks for the help! Gotta love the customer service!:tiphat:

Well I took advice from Tony and I called him at the shop. Even though it was so late Tony took the time to go over every option possible with me. I told him what i was looking for and he helped me narrow it down. I don't know too many people that would answer a phone that late and actually take their time and make sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase! In the end I got the CBE w/ 18" resonators and a CF muffler with test pipes. I am extremely excited and cant wait till I can get these installed on the car! Thanks again Tony I really appreciate you time... now go home and eat some dinner!!

^^^^ Cool....that's one good man!!!! With all the effort and attention he has put to the members of this forum, could you imagine if he actually owned a Z as a personal ride?
