As it should! It's looks like UPS did their job correct, once. I better find some wood to knock on...

Thanks, Tony

tony I wonder. what is the maximum weight for delivery to door? because else it would be nice if we could pack it up in multiple boxes skipping the evil men at the airport

If you buy the headers they will be in their own separate box which will weigh 24-27 LBS.

The car back exhaust system will be in it's own box and will weigh 52-60 LBS. all depending on which options you go with.

Tony

Nice NutiNmuch! How long have you been waiting for yours? I just got on the list # 125! wooohoo! What did you do while you wait for yours? I find myself watching youtube videos of this exhaust all the time even sometimes the same video lol. its only been 2 days! my gf thinks im addicted to car porn haha.

ZforMe 03-25-2010 05:46 PM

Random question:

Anyone come up with a deflector of some sort to fill the gap between the split mufflers and the back bumper? It seems that the bumper could act like a parachute of sorts with the air flow from underneath the car. Any ideas?

Good question!

However, I'm getting my exhaust installed tomorrow. 12" resonators with carbon fiber mufflers. Can't wait! Stay tuned for a review, videos and pics! :happydance:

Might be a nice add-on for FI to offer in CF. I could be down for that !

m4a1mustang 03-26-2010 08:12 AM

I can assure you it won't be a problem! Unless you're trying to qualify for the Daytona 500, don't worry about it!

kielbasa16 03-26-2010 09:58 AM

Tony, could you PM me with some details? I am interested in the CBE probably with 18" resonators as I am not looking for a terribly loud sound. Shipment would be to NY 11746. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!

shawnal 03-26-2010 10:59 AM

Just had my exhaust installed sounds unbelievable/ fit perfectly just had to shim up one side.Have not taken on highway yet untill you call me back Tony did I see a post with a way of break in or can I just get on it right away . I want to take on highway someone let me know its killing me .

XwChriswX 03-26-2010 11:01 AM

Tony, (Or anyone with FI's exhaust for that matter) can you say these are good over speedbumps? My apt complex has them now  and I'm wondering what the clearance is for them?

@ Stock ride height, and if you've lowered them as well would be good info. I'm looking to drop maybe 1" at best.

Hey Shawnal what kind did you go with? I am getting the 18" resonated with C/F mufflers with test pipes non resonated. I have a while to wait still though. Do you have any videos of yours?

Speed bumps are not an issue even with a lowered car! I know this because I have tested it myself with different cars.

Chris,

I installed my FI at stock height then lowered the car with eibachs shortly after. At stock height I scraped going in and out of my driveway until I learned to take it at an angle. Speedbumps were not a problem as long as I took them slow.

After lowering I was a little worried about scraping again, but as long as I take dips at an angle and speedbumps slow (even slower now that I'm lower) I don't scrape. Hope this helps!

Very helpful TY. I will take them slow too, I do in my tC now just because they are like /\ as opposed to low and flat. So it really bounces you if you go anything over 10mph. :ugh2:

Don't have too many big dips... just in this area alot of shitty roads due to them being paved in the 60's so lots of rocks/potholes FTL. :ugh2:

I totally Agree, thats the first thing I ran into with no problem, and of course you're going to sneak up on them thats just common sense...

good news for you is you'll get to hear mine in person!

Slynky 03-26-2010 02:55 PM

So, for Tony or anyone else reading who has installed:

Couple of questions...

(1) Trimming the heat shield. Looking at the pic, do I just trim it so it is cut off about the same height as that vertical part of the underbody? The pic shows it cut, I think. Just wondering how much to cut off.

(2) I'm guessing the heat won't bother the line wrapped with heat wrap much since it's held in place by plastic ties. Just he worry-wart in me wonders if an extra layer would be even MORE better :D

(3) Final instructions say "get at least three hot and cold cycles through it". More specifically, what needs to be done? Start it up and make sure I drive it till the muffler is hot to the touch at least three times instead of turning it on and then driving 2 miles? What...?

Thanks !!!

OH, and Tony, if that muffler was polished any more, it would be a mirror !!!

Viera 03-26-2010 05:45 PM

Well, I finally pulled the trigger. Ordered the 12" SS CBE today! I'm effin' stoked! I just have to play the waiting game now.

Thanks again, Tony.

F.I. Inc. 03-26-2010 10:10 PM

I did two installs today and what I found is that we no longer need to cut the heat shield on the 370Z. All that you have to do is bend the corner of it back so it is out of the way.

I will adjust the installation instructions accordingly...

Thanks, Tony

I just got off of the phone with Shawnal #97 and he just dynoed the car with our CBE: 18" resonators and Carbon Fiber mufflers. Stock cats and intakes and it is a 7AT.

He is going to email me a copy of the dyno chart but he told me with just the cat back he made nearly 290RWH on a dyno dynamics dyno. This is very impressive especially for an automatic on that dyno! Of course though he did not dyno it stock.

I will keep you posted...

Thanks, Tony

Just got the Fast Intentions 12" Resonators, Carbon Fiber Muffler CBE and I felt the power gain INSTANTLY. It looks AMAZING and FLAWLESS. It sounds AWESOME, not too loud at all! It sounds like music to my ears. I honestly feel like I am driving a different car with the gains and the exhaust sound. My 370Z has personality and character now! THANK TONY! Not to mention, I get SO MANY head turns from the ladies (or maybe I'm just good looking ). Seriously though, it's the exhaust. The Fast Intentions Cat Back Exhaust is worth every single penny. THANK YOU TONY!

I also have to say that there is NO DRONE what so ever. I repeat, NO DRONE!

I will be posting an in depth review soon, hopefully tomorrow. One thing I will say is that the Fast Intentions Cat Back Exhaust should be the VERY FIRST UPGRADE any 370Z owner should get. For an average college student like me, I am so glad I purchased this exhaust. Hands down, it is the best product I have ever bought in my life. I enjoy the Z so much more now and all I can say is WOW... My next upgrade will be the Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers.

Tony, I bow to you! Thank you!

Thank you!

Another Satisfied Customer!
