I'm getting close!

I am supposed to have them Friday. Every other aspect of #075,076 and 077 are ready for either install or shipment. #078 has already shipped so 079 would be next to follow which is an install for next Tuesday. I am hoping to be back on track and have #080 in the mail by Tuesday of next week...

Thanks, Tony

It might be a possibility if we can get the exhaust built by Friday I might have you come in and get it installed. We are going to be cutting it real close though!

tbonesteak 02-09-2010 09:24 PM

ok just let me know! if it's going to jeopardize the quality of the exhaust tho, i would much rather wait. Thanks Tony!

This is true! Great install and the best part is all the pieces fit together nicely. We've installs 100s and 100s of exhausts and over the years found them to be a major PITA when they are cheaply made and don't fit correctly.

Im waiting on the resonators to come in as well (order #75). Getting might anxious over here! I have RTPs + 18" resonators with SS mufflers going on. I hope the sound is to my liking, some mention the 18" resonators are too conservative but Im hoping with the RTPs it will be just agressive enough without being obnoxious.

Can anyone else with this exact combination (RTPs + 18" resonators SS mufflers) chime in?

I just got the conformation email that the resonators are being shipped to me UPS RED. Let's not count our eggs though until they hatch. Once I have a tracking number we are one step closer but still not out of the woods until I have them in hand. I will be calling you shortly...

Thanks, Tony

I'm looking at getting the exhaust soon, but I noticed it hangs really low to the ground. Has anyone noticed scraping or any other problems due to this? Thanks

Nope

StillenZ 02-11-2010 05:45 PM

^ man, I was thinking the same thing... The way I drive and the roads around here: I'm bottoming out all of the time even in the the back... There's a few intersections around here where the cross roads are elevated so the bump at the end tends to scrape the back if you go to fast. I was thinking about this the other day when it happened to me. I would ripped this exhaust clean off by now, but that prolly just me.

FastJew 02-11-2010 06:15 PM

Actually, the lowest point on this exhuast is about 6-12" behind the rear wheels. If you look at the departure angle the tips will drag first and this will happen with any exhaust with 4" tips.

What you have to watch out for is tall speed bumps, objects in the road, or strategically placed and deep potholes. Which hopefully you are already watching out for with such a low car.;)

Still have not heard of any issue with scraping though.:twocents:

StillenZ 02-11-2010 06:26 PM

I hope I didn't give the impression that they will scrape...I think after almost 200 pages of this with all good reviews no one should worry!! Fast Intentions has done a bad A$$ job with all of their parts so far....and the customer service seems like it can't get any better, so I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong here.

edit: I guess I did kinda give that impression, but I drive like I stole it and I know of 2 intersections where it happens to me... yet I've done it like 3 times... Haven't even looked under my car because I'm afraid it will piss me off

jmlenz 02-11-2010 06:53 PM

^ well Im sitting pretty low on coilovers right now and will have the FI CBE installed within a week...if anyone scrapes I will:icon14:

Haha..yea thats all Im worried about. There are quite a few railroads around here that are pretty harsh and not to mention my steep azz driveway. It's horrible but I've finally figured out how to not scrape my front spoiler. I just don't want to dish out the money and end up with scratched or even worse, dented muffler.
I'm getting it regardless since I haven't heard any bad new from others yet.

let me guess, the nismo is too quiet for you? if so, this is the reason i turned down buying a used nismo, because so many people have bought them and almost immediately turned them around and sold them for something better. i am very glad i decided to turn down the nismo for the FI. now if i can just get it made and delivered:tup: #086!

SophiaZ 02-11-2010 07:39 PM

The S-Tune is pretty loud with the HFC's....but I heard about the F.I. and fell in love. It looks better, has better gains, and its much deeper w/o the hfc...which I am still adding also :) Just got rid of my nismo cbe and hfc's for $500...had to get rid of them! Put stock back on til my new exhaust is delivered (sounds so boring now haha)

If you are worried about scrapping, just have Tony add some skid plates on the mufflers (lowest part). In the NE, the roads can be bad, and once I lower the car, I have concerns, so I had him weld in some for me. This will prevent any premature failure of the exhaust cans - he welds them on the lowest part, and then polishes them. You won't even know they are there, and you are protected. See pics

There are alot of things that we do that most people do not know about until they sit it and say, " I didn't know you guys did that!"

If it is metal and automotive related we can do it! If it is metal and not automotive related we can do it! I know that this all might sound a little cheesy but I feel that the sky is the limit...

Maybe it's just because I'm such a nerd, but I read this as "Steve, we will even build you the body armor you want if you show up at our shop with the cash to pay for materials and labor."

F.I. Inc. 02-12-2010 10:48 AM

Nismo370 #091 and Shultea1 #092, thank you for the orders.

I have some resonators coming today and that will take care of #075 & #076.

#077 and #079's systems are completed with the exception of the X Pipe due to the fact that we are waiting on the rest of the shipment of resonators. I am, told that I will have them in hand by the middle of next week. Again, I appreciate everyones patience...

About half of my customers bought it with Carbon Fiber mufflers. It is also an option on my website that is available. In fact I just got off of the phone with my last customer who purchased Carbon Fiber mufflers. I do not know what would make you think that though...

Thanks, Tony

There is at least one for sure install and review thread up on these forums that has the cf mufflers. (actually I believe it is one of the thinks on the first page of this speciffic thread)

Look around for things a lil more.

P.S. Probly I envy you

F.I. Inc. 02-12-2010 07:50 PM

Just to let everyone know, #075 was installed here a few hours ago and #076 is in transit. God willing I will have the rest of my shipment sometime next week and we will be back on track

6spd 02-12-2010 07:53 PM

After the new stuff arrives to you, what the ETA looking like for #086? No rush, I'm just curious!
