GOOD LUCK with that exhaust! I understand where you are coming from with the wife, believe me! As far as the rebates with the exhaust, its a money thing and I get that too. Do me a favor though, when you get your exhaust, look it over and shoot me a PM! I want your honest opinion about the quality. I cannot give my honest opinion about that company because people might think it is biased but I could sum them up in a few words or less. Specifically on the quality, fitment and sound. I have never dealt with them specifically so I cannot comment on the customer service. I can only go off of the horror stories that I heard. When you are ready for us and I quite certain it will be sooner then later, I will take care of you with the price no questions asked. Keep in touch... Thank you, Tony |
^^^^ Tony is the man. Cuz if you saw the headers stillen sells for the G37 and the crap welds you really see where Tony is leaps and bounds above stillen
|
Tony... do you have another pair of 18" resonators you can weld onto my CBE? LOL

I don't know how you deal with it.
With how loud it is in the car, I think it must sound like a stock car from the outside. I haven't heard it from the outside yet, so I don't know, but I get freaked out whenever I get near a cop. The GF says it's loud but not obnoxious or anything, so it must just be loud in the car making me think it's super loud outside when it's really not. |

Damn I love the sound of this car. It's gets so exotic up top. Tunnels and overpasses FTW.

Only one way to find out, have your gf drive by you while you're outside
PS I'd keep spare pants with me just in case :bowrofl: |

No problem. I'll give you an honest opinion when I see it. I really appreciate your help and keeping me in mind for the future. The world needs more customer service oriented businessmen like you. Sincerely, Alex |

first time somebodies said something to me about my exhaust...:icon17: |
Whatever exhaust I buy, I need people to grab their ears in pain when I drive by WOT.

Man, I was just thinking that. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of potential orders Forgestar lost with the horror stories that have come out. All the more appreciation with how Tony is running his business.
|
Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback.

OK. That's it i want one.
18' resonator, carbon cans, none chrome. How much? when will i get it? |

Although i did listen to Aus370 (7AT) straight after his installation and honestly doesn't appear as loud as i thought. Which is good for driving past the Boys in blue (@normal speeds). Quote:

Again Tony, thank you very much for your time and effort (service/quality etc.). |

Personally so far i have not had any problems and here in Aus our roads truly are CRAP. Also we have a lot of speed humps and I haven't had any issues yet. Quote:

If they have used a tapered design, it would appear to give them a good inch or more of ground clearance. |

Has anyone run the stock exhaust with the muffler delete and then purchased the FI catback?
Im curious at the volume level difference. I don't want anything quieter than what I have now, so im not sure which resonator option I should get. |

I mean, it's fairly simple geometry (and not the whole exhaust) - either using shorter mufflers like you said, or, using a more tapered design (like using a 45 off where it mounts currently until it meets up with the end of a shorter muffler, or heck, even lopping off the lowest portion to the ground and creating a bit of a flat spot there, filling it with a triangular piece. The added benefit would open the door for people looking to lower their Z (or G?), can still buy your exhaust, as well as people who have road issues. I don't think it'd change the sound (or gains) much, but then again, I don't design exhausts. |

Has anyone actually measured stock vs. FI ride height pre vs. post install? I know in a previous post that Tony mentioned there was about 3/4" difference, but maybe that was an estimation? The reason I ask is because I've seen some pictures posted that show the FI mufflers about 4.5" off the ground, but I think that's around the same height as the pipes leading into the stock mufflers at their lowest point on my Z which isn't lowered.
