I still offer the same payment plan that I offered during the previous sales for the other models. It is for the customer who wants the exhaust but may need a few months or so to get the funds together, but still gets locked in to the sale price. If you are interested I will give you the details...

Thanks, Tony

I would also like to know the details please.

Got my exhaust in the mail today. Scheduled for install tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how the carbon fiber mufflers sound with HFC's.

Pics of exhaust in box?

bmarcinczyk14 08-03-2009 08:38 PM

does anyone know if the hotchkis sway bars will fit with the fast intentions catback exhaust? will the size of the resonators affect the fitment for the rear sway?

The resonator is in front of the sway bar by a few inches. The larger sways should not be an issue.

Yes, the ending point of the X Pipe does not change location.

XwChriswX 08-03-2009 09:47 PM

Are you going to have mock ups of both the 12" and 18" in your shop to gaze at, or are they produced only to be shipped/installed?

NewYorkJon34 08-03-2009 10:12 PM

Is the 12" that much louder then the 18" resonator when combined with the F.I. Hfc?

Had it sent to my work since I am there during the day...box wouldn't fit in my car so I had to take the parts out and lay them in the hatch and pass. seat to drive them home. I will get pics of the exhaust installed on the Z sometime soon though.

ZforMe 08-03-2009 11:11 PM

Can we get one pic (camera phone or what have you), of the CF cans?

kolya 08-03-2009 11:14 PM

Just got home from having this exhaust installed by Tony at his shop. All I can say is this exhaust is awesome and well worth the money. Tony is a great guy and when he has his headers ready I will be getting them!

I got the 18" resonator with F.I. Hfc and I think that is the sweet spot right there. Louder, deeper and fuller than stock but not annoying loud by any means.

I tip my hat to the guys at F.I. and they will be getting more of my business in the future!

ZforMe 08-03-2009 11:30 PM

Sound clips in the future?

There was a pic of one a few pages back somewhere.

XwChriswX 08-04-2009 12:12 AM

It wasn't very clear, or a good angle...

We are glad that you like it and you had a nice 300 mile trip right away to break it in and really get a feel for it. Again, thank you for the business it is greatly appreciated...

Well that announcement officially puts my HFC/RTP ideas on hold.

Rock on Tony!

XwChriswX 08-04-2009 02:31 PM

What does long tube header mean? Will they not fit in the stock mounting places for say a 'stock header mount' HFC?

So basically imagine you have Header>downpipes (hfc's)>rest of the exhaust system...

With long tubes you basically go Headers>rest of the exhaust system. As long as F.I. makes them so they bolt up to the rest of the exhaust at the same place the downpipes did then COUNT ME IN!!

http://www.automotiveforums.com/350z...erdheaders.jpg

XwChriswX 08-04-2009 02:49 PM

But I thought the headers bolted directly to the HFC's in this setup... if you were to take those tubes you pic'd right there, looks like that's a HFC/RTP delete option that would bolt up straight to the CBE X pipe?

Yes if they make those it removes the need for tespipes/HFC's (downpipes)

They are typically alot louder and make some additional HP.

Its an option. Not everyone would want them so they would still either buy anothers manufactures header + the rest of F.I.'s stuff or just get this piece.

Unless F.I. plans to make normal and longtubes.

XwChriswX 08-04-2009 02:57 PM

I see the logic now... I just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing it a completely different way than they were intended to be seen lol.

I think I'll stick with the HFC's, but if they make some 'normal' headers I feel I'm gonna be spending a Sat at their shop lol.

yes, thats exactly what he means...and i would definately be interested in that type of setup as well

Togo 08-04-2009 04:12 PM

Hmmm long tube headers sounds like a ******* no brainer there... FI FTMFW!!!!

+1

F.I. Inc. 08-04-2009 04:55 PM

The long tube headers will begin at the head of the engine. (Same place as the stock manifolds now.)

The long tube headers will end at the front of the cat back exhaust system. They will fit either the stock cat back or our cat back.

The long tube headers will eliminate any type of cat or test pipe. They will pick up low end mid range and top end power as well. You will not sacrifice any type of ground clearance whatsoever!

They will increase the noise level quite substantially but the goal is the pros out weigh the cons.

FuszNissan 08-04-2009 05:03 PM

Im in!

XwChriswX 08-04-2009 05:04 PM

So you're saying, unless you wanna make people deaf, you reccomend the 18" resonators in the CBE with this? lol

ETA to production/sales?

tonmed123 08-04-2009 05:28 PM

Hey Tony, any plans on some Shorty headers for those that wana keep the HFC set up?

So, how certain are you about undertaking this?
