im jealousssssssssssssss!
sucks for me i gotta wait a few months or so :( |
Tony, i was wondering in your opinion which would be a better set-up: 18" resonators with the longtube headers or the hfc? I don't want it annoying/ricer loud, but I want to make the most power I can. Also if I get the headers, wouldn't the exhaust gases smell more since it would delete the cats?

Hey leave him alone. He's installing my exhaust. ;)
|
^ I know right, the less he's on here, the more time he's building all our exhausts ;)
|
That is one awesome piece of work and a helluva sound. I likey...alot I may just have to sell my Nismo CBE. My Berks have just been ordered. But over all that is the best sounding exhaust set I have heard.
Subscribing....I am only on page 7 so 48 more pages to go. This has gotta be the fasted growing thread on this forum, 55 pages to date and started on 7/2/09. Great job on the videos, they give a good rep of the exhaust system from all angles. PM sent for pricing. |
Installed this morning!
The 12" TDX and Berk HFC combination fit without any issues. The shop had to supply some extra gaskets (for the Berks) since we opted not to use the OEM pieces.
Impressions... no rasp and no fart! The overall setup is noticeably louder, but it is very quiet when cruising and easing the throttle. The exhaust tone has a bit of an exotic sound to it (like a harmony). As others mentioned, I do hear a bit of hiss with the HFCs when the revs dropped. Car idles fine and no CEL so far. I've not driven it that hard yet, but it feels a bit less constricted and picks up power a bit earlier (by at least 500 RPM) than usual. Looks-wise, it is very subtle and the stock look is further enhanced by the tips. You'd have to squat low just to see the canisters. So the overall look is not ricey at all (unlike having exhaust canisters point in separate directions). Whatever it is, this setup gives the VQ37 a much larger and livelier sound. There is definitely a much sportier feel. to Tony and his crew at Fast Intentions. for Berk HFC as part of this combo. Together, they fit without any issues. [EDIT] On another note, you do NOT need to trim the heat shield. Simply bend the edge back towards and around (close) to the rubber fuel hose with the Fast Intentions supplied heat shield. This will double as shielding for these lines as well as make space for the passenger side canister. So NO CUTTING required. |
^Great feedback on the Fast Intentions exhaust paired up with Berk HFC. That is prolly the route I wanna go. Now if I could only sell my Nismo CBE.
Any sound clips or video? Sry Iam still only on page 7 of this thread. |

There are plenty of vids... start from this page and backtrack a few. Or search for Fast Intentions own Youtube channel. I'll get videos and whatnot posted late next week. |
I'll prob buy the F.I hfc, just to keep it within the same company

O.K. so I have been getting alot of requests about our payment plan option. We have offered this in previous markets and it has worked. Here are the details:
Layaway & payment plans Here is how it works, -All we require is 25% down (Non Refundable) -From the day the exhaust is purchased you have 90 days(3 months) to pay it off. -We encourage you to split the remaining balance evenly over the 3 months but it is not a requirement. -If down the line you decide you cannot afford or do not want the exhaust system, you WILL NOT be held liable on the remaining balance. However you WILL NOT receive a refund on any previous payment. -All payments are NON REFUNDABLE! -You cannot downgrade once your original order is placed, only upgrade. -There is no interest on your balance! -Your exhaust will not ship until the balance is paid in full! -There is no pre payment penalty! We like to think of this as our way to make purchasing for our customers a little easier during these economic times. Keep in mind, this is designed for the consumer that can and needs time to save up the funds in order to get this exhaust. This is not for everyone! Those of you who have already purchased an exhaust system through us are aware that we do not bill your card until right before we ship your product! Example: if you purchased under the normal way today, your wait would be 4 to 5 weeks. So with that being said, you would not be billed until then. This will also be posted on the first page as well as the sale thread. |
^Thanks for the excellent plan in these economic times. Also for reposting this announcement for us (me) who came in late to the thread. Good idea about first page post. This thread rocks!

Tony, do you take our CC numbers down when we call to place the order or will you call back later when you actually bill us? I don't really like leaving my CC number sitting around for a month.
|
Gonna order one of these junts when I'm sober (tomorrow)? Gonna be my birthday present to myself (September 23).
