Okay everyone just got off the phone with Tony and he asked me to update you guys on the progress. If you don't already know Tony is the f'n man and he's working today and sunday for the next few weeks to get us all caught up. The mufflers are in the port of LA now, the supplier has already picked up one pallet and Tony should have the mufflers in hand Mon evening or Tues. He has 8 370Z systems fully built minus the muffler sections and he plans to have all 8 shipped out by the end of next week. He's also building 2 LTHs to go out next week. He plans to get 6-7 systems shipped the following weeks and another 5-6 the week after that. Tony really appreciates all the orders and everyone's patience with the builds. He's now up to #394 for us! I'm more than happy to update everyone and just know Tony is working is *** off to make us happy! Have a great weekend everyone
|
I think #370 should get a discount :D
|
Also something I forgot to mention along with the 8 370 systems and 2 370 LTHs shipping this week, there's also a G37 system and a system from another vehicle shipping with them. Very busy and productive week for Tony and his guys!

Tony, please make it happen! You can do it! If my exhaust ships in two weeks, I will be very happy. If it doesn’t, I will probably be the only person at Z Nationals with a stock exhaust. That would be very sad… Thanks Tony for going the extra mile! |

The only problem with a loud set-up is it makes every loser out there with a modded 20 year old civic want to race you

That's true and I'll deal with that when the time comes. I just love a loud great sounding exhaust, it's music to my ears!

[QUOTE=birdmanx1;1284660]No kidding boss, I had a bald guy in a civic SI almost clip my bumper last week. He figured that I was inviting him to a showoff contest as I drove by :shakes head: You've heard the setup already ...
Great vid, you should make another where you launch the car hard and redline. The set-up sounds great. Is yours resonated? |
:D

what I don't get is why these guys in civics or whatever even ATTEMPT to race cars that are WAYYYYY faster... a quick search says that a 2011 civic si runs a 15.3 1/4... give the benefit of a better driver and we'll even say a 14.9. These are Edmunds numbers, not mine... but Edmunds inside line also gives the 370z a 13.3... what is so hard to understand about that? Your VTEC ain't no turbo yo lol... In all seriousness... Honda makes a FANTASTIC car, but the civic in it's current form is never going to come close. I just wish people would understand what class their cars are in and if you want to race or show off... go to the track. |
how would a FI cvic do against us?

My Fiancee and I have a 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 and it's quick... it's not as quick stock as the Z is stock.... it's also a 2.3 L I4 and it's got a lot of torque... with an SRI it gains about 20 whp as it is VERY restrictive stock set-up... after that though fuel pumps have to be changed. I remember and maybe this doesn't apply anymore, but it USED to be apporximately what? 10 hp for each 1/10 of a second on the 1/4? Anyway, anytime you have a car that starts off with more power, you are going to have an advantage and the Z can run low 12's without an FI set-up. My roomate has an Evo 8 with cams, intake, exhaust, etc, etc, everything but a turbo upgrade 383 whp on a Mustang dyno... I think he said he has about 15k in his car and he ran a 12 flat with a 1.8 60 ft. So with all of the NA Z mods to be able to run a low 12 to me isn't to bad IMO. By the way i'm no expert so anyone who sees if i'm wrong please do correct me. |
Just curious if a loud ricer civic rolled up next to my bone stock Z, what the chances were of them actually being faster than me, not that I am racing on the streets or anything. I am assuming the civic would need to be boosted or be pretty damn stripped down in weight to have a shot at even a stock Z?
BTW, my friend also has a heavily modded speed3 that gets 350whp which he races (not tracks, but actually races) which would obviously smoke me. |

Your friend may have 350 whp on an MS3, but the torque steer on those things is TERRIBLE... people do some things to help with it... but how much money does he have in it to make that 350? I've owned 2 Evo's and a 2010 MS3 that just had an intake and a Cobb tune on it... it was a nice quick car, but i'd take the Z over it any day... which is why I traded it with 4500 miles on it. The more you mod a car and especially a turbo car (in my experience) the more little issues you have... after a while it just gets ridiculous. My Evo X was to the poitn where it just wasn't even fun to run anymore. I found myself wanting to drive our stock MS3 more than the Evo X. I don't worry to much about my plans to add a CBE to my ART pipes, an intake and maybe some pulleys. |
Yeah, I hate loud cars that aren't fast. That is one of the reasons I am hesitant to throw CBE on my Z (not that we're not fats, just don't want to seem like an obnoxiously loud car. The others being it's still a good amount of money and I'm not sure how much of a diff it will make to me since I use it as my DD and am not tracking much (if at all, but hope to get out some time).
Just asking about the civics because they really annoy me. I've seen civic forums where kids ask for advice on making their car loud just to be loud and not anything about gains or performance. |
btw, how is the clearance with the FI exhaust compared to stock? Would I nee dot adjust my driving habits to not scrape/damage it?

Won't it get pretty loud with the test pipes? But wow, 40whp is impressive. Just wondering since TPs seem to get better gains than HFCs and both are pretty much illegal in California, why do most people seem to get the HFCs?
|
Anyone know if Tony has specials for install if you are installing multiple parts at once? He is never available when I call because he's too busy making all of you guys' exhausts, haha.

All right guys this is the FI thread!
so Stay on Topic |
I am nor familiar at all with pulley kits. I am a super newb and most of my knowledge is from all of you wise members. That said, what are the pros and cons of a pulley kit? Is it a tough/expensive (time, if I have someone do it) and will it affect the reliability of my car (it's my only DD)? What kind of gains would it give me and how much does it cost/which ones do you recommend? Anything I should know about it concerning maintenance?
Exhaust, HFC/TPs, and exhaust seemed like the basic mods everyone did and don't get it not he engine or anything too much which I like since I am totally not a DIY guy when it comes to cars. |
This is the Fast Intentions Thread like members Triple's has pointed out.
Keep the discussion as it relates to Fast intentions CBE, And not some other discussion. Thank You |
Sorry, FI exhaust related questions only from now on.

FAST INTENTIONS MUFFLERS ARE HERE!
Exhaust systems will start shipping out tomorrow. You know who you are because we have spoke on the phone. I appreciate everyones patience through this delay and with much enjoyment I can now say that it is over!!! Hopefully we can be back on track by the end of September so this delay that has incurred will not effect anyone who ordered a CBE set to ship from October 1st on! Thank you, Tony |
