is the F.I test pipes suppose to deliver more power than berk's HFC?

Any and all test pipes/down pipes should make more power than any and all high flow cats (HFC), since the flow of exhaust is more restricted by catalytic converter material in them vs the unrestricted open test pipes/down pipes.
Because of this, the test pipes will also carry more sound and be louder that HFC's will be.

HFC's (high flow catalytic converters) are just that, a better flowing catalytic converter than the stock OEM ones. But for flow and power nothing beats a open test pipe/ down pipe. Flow = Power

if so how much more?

Just a few more at best. Usually close the middle of open test pipes to stock catalytic converters is where you will find the HFC, as far as power gains, sound, etc. (Think of a HFC as about half the restriction of the OEM ones, but not as unrestricted and open as test pipes)

more than likely, yes it will

Mine arrived today! :happydance:

Box was still in great condition and the contents looks even better...
Didn't have time to unpack everything, but the way it was packaged I would be surprised if I would find even a scratch...

Thanks Tony!

Sorry guys, couldn't wait for the exhaust and had to custom make it. Got the F.I. X-Pipe from another member, added the OEM resonators and some Stainless Magnaflows with the FI layout (stainless pipes in the back too) and using OEM tips and am enjoying the gains. Only cost me $800 too so thats fine by me. I know its not quite as pretty but the power increase was VERY good, the sound is phenomenal and I saved about 40%. I dont have that airy hiss noise either on the RPM drops, even with the x-pipe somehow, guess the Magnaflows might be killing it.

It was a pretty long wait, but by the looks of it well worth it!

I hopefully will be able to get it installed this week.

Posey075 07-27-2010 03:45 PM

Hey Tony thanks for the exhaust and you weren't messing around with the packing!! I think the hardest part of installation was trying to get it out of the bubble wrap packing lol!! Overall it was a very easy installation on a lift and the exhaust sounds great...I am hoping to have videos and pictures posted soon.

Billy02987 07-27-2010 08:24 PM

Hopefully he packed the **** out of mine, cause I was just informed from UPS that the train my exhaust was on crashed. They said there not sure if they will be able to get all the packages and the ones they do get if thell be in tact still. I'm so frustrated, I just want my exhaust.

Sibze 07-27-2010 08:25 PM

UPS defines "Exception" as:

"Your shipment is currently in the UPS network; however, an unforseen event has occured which could result in a change to the scheduled delivery date."

Has anyone else ever encountered a problem like this? UPS doesn't have many detail's other then the train had "wrecked." I've never seen this and I've been receiving packages via UPS for year's now. With all the good thing's I hear I'm sure the exhaust was packed phenominally. Hopefully it turns out fine.

Either a Refresh of page one, or an update would come in handy right about now. Sounds like they have made some progress through the list. Prolly another 5 people or so could be marked off as shipped/installed.

Billy02987 07-29-2010 01:36 PM

Well my last update was on the truck for delivery, but of course UPS doesn't show up before I have to go to work. Looks like another day without my exhaust :(

Exhaust installed and sounds DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP..

It actually resonates my core much like a sub woofer at a club..

I've only driven a short distance today so when it wears in over the weekend, i will get a video done with pics etc.

Vegitto-kun 07-30-2010 07:04 AM

exhaust will be on.

LTH not.

something with no new gaskets(or whatever are they called) in the package and him not having any in stock.

and he is going to get married tommorow and will be gone for 2-3 weeks

so my lth will be rotting at home

"rotting" lol. Can you get someone else to put them on? May have to pay more but at least the will not "rot" lol

Vegitto-kun 07-30-2010 08:08 AM

It wasn't the gaskets but something else. I have no idea wtf he meant so I will see what he meant. He recommends getting it new because he doesn't want to risk it leaking.

I don't really have anybody else. tuning companies are rare here and most are ****.

a guy that is a customer there who is getting a 1000+HP 350Z went to 3 of the most known companies in belgium.

First one. his engine blew up after 3 hours of driving.
second one. his engine blew up after a hour.
third one basically took his money and never did anything.

and I refuse going to my dealership after the fail they did on the GT-R exhaust. attaching it with a simple ring which was loose as hell
