I'm right there with you...#853. I may have delayed mine a week. Two days ago I decided to have mine done in the milled out/brushed finish. When I asked about build time, Tony said "a few weeks out from this friday". It will be worth the wait.

is that finish on the mufflers and tips? I don't remember seeing that

NORAIN 11-21-2013 03:10 PM

Yeah, wherever it would normally be polished... I emailed and asked Tony if he could do a brushed or dull finish. He said he could make them "milled out". Then I searched his site a little and found a pic as an option on one of the Audi cat backs. It's gonna cost a little more...
I didn't want the polished because nothing on the car is polished. Eventually I want to have the door handles painted body color and get black wheels. IMO, The polished would have stuck out like a sore thumb. I think it's gonna look kick *** and it will be a bit different from most of the others.

He did my tips like that, whomever they have doing the "brushing" is a fckin pro.

They looked stop notch.

You won't be disappointed.

I want mine black powder coated but I have not asked about it. I will probably just stick with. It the way it is.

:iagree:I'm with you on dragging... The holiday is delaying things a bit. In an email from Tony about milling my system. He thought he'd be starting to build mine (#853) next week. Then ship the following week. You might get yours next week.

I finally installed my FI 18" resonated CF CBE, #699, I was on travel and couldn't get to do it.

I have to say I love the fit and startup sound. I haven't driven her around yet but I can't wait.

To all,

First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone for their patience and also a happy holiday season.

I read through these quotes above and I see a lot of people getting "antsy". I can assure all of you we are not behind at all! We have been making exhaust systems for this specific car for 4-1/2 years now it is pretty safe to say, we got our schedule down! Every single one of you has an (EST. SHIP DATE) of a 2 week window on your invoice. It is the description box right in the middle of the page about half way down. When I talk to each of you over the phone I explain to you that "hopefully" the shipping window is a worst case and we will do our best to get your system in the mail as early as we can. Sometimes we ship at the beginning of the window, sometimes in the middle and rarely at the end. Most of your specific windows are not up yet. As of right now we are building in the mid to high 840's along with 350Z and G37 exhaust systems.

I ask you all to remember, there are 6 people in my shop, myself included. We move a lot of volume for the size of crew that we have. The entire Nissan/Infiniti platform is on a first come, first serve basis and there are many weeks we are building more than just 370Z exhaust systems. This being one of those weeks along with it being a short one for the long holiday weekend. Myself and Dan will be here on Friday however we are giving everyone else the full 4 days off.

All of this above being said, I am going to implement a streamline way for you all to be updated. Over the next month I plan to create an email address "shipping@fastintentions.com". This will go directly to our shipping manager. He will receive from me all orders in the build queue for the next 4 weeks. Here is how it will work.

1) You will look at the 2 week shipping window on your invoice. If your shipping window starts in 1 week or less from that day, you can send an email off.

2) It will be reviewed and a response will be sent back within 24-48 hours.

***NOTE: In the event that your shipping window starts further than 1 week out, please refrain from sending an email inquiry about your status. You will not receive a response. I also ask that you keep your inquiries minimal, like 1-2 at most over that time period. The more inquiries you send, it slows us down in the overall process.***

I hope that this response clears some things up. Thank you all for your time.

Tony

It's worth the wait for sure! We all just get a little anxious... Thanks for all your hard work Tony.

I'm calmly coasting towards my ship date. It will beat me to my house by over a month. lol

jlw2546 11-26-2013 01:16 PM

We all know we are getting a great quality product. That's why we all didn't just go with first available stuff. We all know you guys are working your tails off to supply us with this awesome product. I would rather wait a year for a product that has been given the time and attention to detail that yours does than settle for some overnight assembly line stuff. Thanks Tony and happy Thanksgiving.

Huck 11-26-2013 01:53 PM

Tony is very rarely late on his delivery date by any amount of time, I know you're all super stoked to get your exhaust but it will get there on time and it will be worth the wait, have some patience and it'll be delivered before you know it!

Haha dude I was totally the same way waiting on mine to come in. Then it finally got to my house and I had to go to Texas for a wedding, couldn't install it for another week after I got it. The wait almost killed me.

I did not take it that way at all. You are all solid in my book. I simply wrote that to give you all a clear response and let you know about the new shipping email address.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I should be getting mine today, I remember reading there was a "trick" on how to get these lined up properly in case they were hanging uneven, anybody have a copy of it?

Put washers between the exhaust bracket & the cars under body to lower the tip.

Any recommendations for cleaning carbon fiber mufflers? Just wipe down with regular car wash stuff? Use a little spray wax?

jlw2546 12-02-2013 08:58 PM

I have entered my shippinng winndow. It shouldn't be much longer now. As soon as I get my tracking info the car is going on jackstands and the OEM is coming off. I'm doing the HFC too so it will give me time to soak the top header bolt with WD40. I feel like a little kid getting a Christmas present. lol

I see you are number 850... I am 852, hoping it ships this week! I got the car torn apart for the exhaust and twin turbo kit, just need parts! lol!
