I've had #757 for about a few weeks now and I love it. Fitment was spot on with no washers needed. Evap doesn't have a cover on the '13 nismo just an FYI. Also the stock nismo mid pipe nuts were incredibly hard to get off.

Just took my nismo with the SS 18" resonators to my first autox and received an incredible amount of compliments on the sound and look of the exhaust . only wish it was a tad louder :)

Sent from my Nexus 7

I think I'm going to have to order this exhaust right as winter starts, it might make the wait seem a little more bearable lol.

COSMO 08-05-2013 09:24 PM

So tempting to pull the trigger since Ive been wanting a 3' exhaust since I installed my gtm tt kit but I just cant believe such a long wait time.

megalapagas 08-05-2013 09:45 PM

Its worth the wait IMO, if you order now and do the deposit look at it as a Thanksgiving gift ;)

Goes by pretty quick, and I fully believe it will be worth the wait! Should be another couple of weeks for me....

Hotrodz 08-05-2013 10:19 PM

I'm waiting for a call back from Tony so I can order my 3" exhaust. I'm just kicking myself for waiting so long to make up my mind!

that sounds awesome. Do you have headers or HFC on it as well or.just the catback

Thanks Rangerz:tiphat:
I have FI HFC with CBE CF non res. In my opinion this is the best set up to buy for the 370z. Fast Intentions isn't just a forum hype, they are the real deal and make an amazing exhaust

Oh I'm on board already. #835 HFC, CBE, just called and upgraded to CF and also ordered mine with the 18" resonators. Keep a close eye on this thread hoping to see if Tony and his crew got all tore up on ripped fuel and goofballs and sent 50 of these bad boys out to get me closer.:roflpuke2:

Good call on the CF upgrade!!! The CF "IS" what makes the difference :driving:
You'll love it to the point that you'll never listen to your radio/music ever again:tiphat:

mts 08-07-2013 04:02 PM

#763 is installed. HFC's + exhaust. Fit & finish is spot on.

It's been discussed before, but a word of warning on the HFC's, removing the top bolts from the OEM cats is a giant paint. Over 2 feet of extensions + a 3 foot breaker bar AFTER soaking them in PB Blaster over night and applying heat. Still had to break the nut off one of them to get them off. It's something I would have expected with an older car, but mine has never seen rain/salt and only has 10k miles.....you could eat off the underside of it.

The exhaust was an absolute breeze, but if you get the HFC's, be prepared for a possible tussle removing the OEM stuff.

Does CF really makes that much of a difference in the sound? I have a SS CBE with 18" res on order (#808). Should I consider going with a CF instead? I actually like the look of the SS exhaust better.

The CF is thinner than the SS so it let's more of the resonant sound permeate the walls. This gives you a slightly higher pitched (more exotic, ferrari, labo, etc.) sound.

You will have increased Volume as a side effect though. So if you're planning on running Headers and/or TPs, and volume is not something you want, it's a debatable point.

The looks though... omfg, they are :icon23: :yum:

I have 18 res cf. stock cats. I've never heard a ss in person but cf makes me orgasm every time i get on it. I like the stealthy look of the cf. Looks wise, it's just personal preference. call tony, he can assist you

My opinion......I know there is a difference...I have the CF & it Does NOT sound like SS.....I put 2 different post on this thread, dyno run and start with mild idling

kfull 08-07-2013 08:04 PM

Just made a run to the packie. Can confirm orgasmic sound.

zilverbullet 08-07-2013 10:25 PM

Yup non-res cf here and it sounds sexxxxyyyyy. Perfect combo of deep and exotic but then again I haven't hear the non-res ss version

It really sucks nobody around my way has these so I can hear them and I don't pay much attention to vids, but I'm just about to switch my order to CF's and hope its worth it.

Here is what I tell everyone when choosing SS vs CF.

1) The Carbon Fiber will sound a little more exotic and promote more of a Euro tone opposed to the Stainless Steel being smoother and deeper.

2) The Carbon Fiber is lighter than the Stainless Steel by roughly 6 pounds overall.

In the end make the choice mostly based on the aesthetics. The other reasons play a small part in the equation. Now I am biased to the Carbon Fiber because I love the way it looks! Everyone wants something different therefore we have different options.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call me directly.

Thank you, Tony

I like you Chris but I have to correct you on this one. The Carbon Fiber sleeve is technically not thinner than the Stainless Steel case. The reason it dissipates the sound differently is mainly due to the material characteristic of one to the other. It is also due to the way Carbon Fiber muffler seals to the end cap vs the Stainless Steel being welded all the way around.

Thanks, Tony

Driveshaft on the Z is CF. It's fairly strong for what it does.
