I just got off the phone with Kevin. Great guy to deal with.
I have officially placed my order for the FI TDX CBE w/ 18" resonators. Number 1436 has an ETA of July 11-25. OK, the countdown has officially begun. It's all in Gods and Kevins hands from here on in.

Anybody have any input on the comparison of the outside and cabin volume between the 12" and 18" resonators? I'm planning on installing FI Long Tube Headers as well so taking into consideration these resonators is a large decision for me.

the resonators really just are there to mitigate the drone of the exhaust on the inside and eliminate some rasp.

volume comes from the CBE in general, removing the super restrictive stock cats, and then the different tones between the SS and CF muffles.

also the LTH and TPs have different sounds as well.

i actually just set in motion 2 more future FI owners this past week. one at cars and coffee the other literally followed me into an arby's drive thru to ask about the exhaust lol

So I'm driving today enjoying the nice notes coming from my FI Exhaust and all of a sudden it hits me, damn this thing sounds a lot louder than normal. Lo and behold I look back and see my cargo cover was rolled up, what a difference it makes not being extended! For you guys or gals that's on a fence about in cabin noise just purchase a cargo cover to help quiet it down at times.

UPS man was impressed with all of the bubble wrap; he had to hang around & see what this exhaust was/ says he's never seen this much Care used in packaging an exhaust system.....I had to inform him that this isn't just an ordinary exhaust system! It's a 12week custom built one.

I too was very impressed with all of the bubble wrap and care used in packaging this exhaust system!

Make sure you have some clean pants available after the first start up. You will cream the ones you are wearing. Seriously!

Yes, the packing is fantastic. You can tell they have learned what and where the packaging is needed.
