yea i like what the one guy in the 370 one suggested with practicing on a spare piece of stainless steel and get your technique i guess down lol then go onto the real thing. i've though about this but since my Z is blue i like how the silver tips pop. blue on blue would be hard to notice i think.

Mine passenger side cat O2 sensor was cross threaded from the factory, ended up having to out the car in a vise grip and use a breaker bar and a wrench to get it out. It completely smoothed the area where the threads used to be, with no hope of re-threading it so I had to overnight another O2 sensor to get to work the next day. I found an NKG one on rockauto.com for about $180 shipped. Major PITA.

I've watched clips in this thread. Can someone put up a comparison clip between CF and non CF?

They're going to sound the same if that's what you're asking. It's a look/weight thing.

I'm sticking with steel. I don't really like the carbon fiber "look" all that much. Just personal taste and I love the exhaust note on the steel cans.

I don't have access to anyone local with a SS since there aren't many Z's in my area or I'd gladly make a literal side by side vid

I'm willing to make one if someone in the SC area with a SS setup wants to meet ;)

carbon fiber sounds way better in my opinion, what the Z is supposed to sound like a nice exotic purr, not too deep and bassy.

You guys don't have to be in the same area to compare.
Just make sure 2 different people use the same make/model of camera in the same style environment.

Well I called Tony and made a switch. I'm about 30 days from a ship date! I switched from 18" res SS to 12" res SS and res hfcs! Super excited..

^ I'm 21 days out and the closer I get to the install date the longer it seems. Added a polished res hfc to the non res CF CBE I had ordered. Cannot wait.

Hehe... I made the switch on my HFC's back when I ordered them... I went from Non-Res HFC's to Res HFCs...

I wanted the growl without the super loud exhaust... I so made the right decision. The combination of Res HFC's and 18" Rec CBE gave me EXACTLY the type of volume and low growl that I was looking for without being too loud ...

That's pretty much like my setup. The diff is the mine is tp but u will love that setup. Sounded so rich.

This exhaust was definitely worth the wait (sounds amazing). Tony installed mine for me yesterday 589 (FI TDX Non Resonated SS). He and his staff are very professional and knowledgable. Can't say enough, the entire experience was just awesome. Also for those of you thinking of going forced induction, I got a sneak peak at the FI TT prototype (not finished) but looks very promising. Thanks again Tony!

The non Res cf sounds so exotic loud and deep. It should be #594 I'm guessing there were others after me. Had my exhaust installed by Tony! He awesome! Thanks Tony!

Thanks for the advise. Just got it lowered about a month ago. It is what it is. As long as it functions and continues to do the job I'll be fine. I'd be more worried about puncturing or tearing up the whole thing.

Lol we'll end of story he let me go and his going to be ordering a fast intentions exhaust pretty soon. Has a BMW 3 series didn't get in detail I wanted to leave. Though I'd share hilarious.
