Curious as to the whp you get with your setup, i.e. with E370, ART Pipes, MD intake manifold, drop ins & post MAFs.

Dyno video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS0od6XlWyc

I lost a few HP after changing the exhaust, but I don't know how much is contributed by the changes in weather.

FI: (4th and 5th gear pulls)

E370 (blue pull) others were after a reflash

This dyno sheet does not have the temp readings, but when searching for weather conditions in that area on 3/25/12 it was about 72 degrees, 30.07in-Hg, and 76% humidity.

I only got in 1 pull with the Motordyne exhaust and no other changes; I was in a rush for time. The temperatures were a bit hotter on the E370 pull, but I provided Tony with the dyno files so he can compare them or do delta changes. After the pull I put another map on the car with the accessport and picked up a little bit of power. I still love the sound of this thing.

Hey, great write up. I'm looking to buy an exhaust for my Z now and this definitely helps.
Just wondering...
Were both dynos with the 2 different exhausts just the CAT backs or did you have other mods too? Also, does this exhaust have HFC or TP or neither?

Both were with the same mods. ART pipes, M370 manifold, post MAF tubes, and drop in filters.

Now I'm really confused. I've seen cars making 300 whp with an intake, exhaust and ART pipes and yours is making 280 with all of that and the manifold? What am I missing?

You can't try to compare dyno numbers because all dynod are different. Maybe he used a mustang dyno? The dyno is a tool to tune not try to base numbers from different people. Maybe he lives somewhere hotter and more humid? And the manifold makes power midrange not top end so it wouldn't change the peak #

Default Alternative Exhaust Tips

Hi all,

I am going to replace my Shockwave))) Exhaust tips (4.5" blue rolled Ti) with some alternative ones that I found here:
www.42draftdesigns.com/Clamp-On-Tips_c_168.html

The above selection fits our 3" tail pipes.
I chose the 4" OD brushed S/S double wall clamp-on style. But they got single-wall and/or weld-on versions, too. The highly polished or matte black versions are beautiful, as well
The double wall design looks very professional and reminds me a bit of BMW M3 style... just bigger.

Best wishes

Great Review Boost - called Motordyne just now to order, I want to get an exhaust before the summer is over lol. But unfortunately the latest batch has weld issues around the muffler - and they need to be rechecked or even rewelded and won't be shipping for 2 - 4 weeks... ugggg.
