If you're fitting to a catted system, the volume should be ok, if you're running TP's already, or want to run ART pipes, you might want to consider the HFC module for the shockwave system.

With no other mods to the car, would this be a good choice for an aftermarket setup? Not worried about gaining HP, as long as I don't lose it. I often drive with my daughter in the car with me on the weekends, so crazy loud is not an option. Your thoughts.
@ cold start this thing can be loud. There is little to no drone and no hissing, but the volume might be loud for you. As far as catbacks go, this isn't the quietest system. And I wouldn't worry about losing any power on this over a stock exhaust. I can't tell what you define as too loud though. Have you heard any other Z exhausts in person that you can compare to?

If you want a little less volume, you can add the HFC module to this system.

Now I'm really confused. I've seen cars making 300 whp with an intake, exhaust and ART pipes and yours is making 280 with all of that and the manifold? What am I missing?

You can't try to compare dyno numbers because all dynod are different. Maybe he used a mustang dyno? The dyno is a tool to tune not try to base numbers from different people. Maybe he lives somewhere hotter and more humid? And the manifold makes power midrange not top end so it wouldn't change the peak #

Numbers are numbers, not going to get into that war. Maybe it's my untuned cobb map. Maybe it was my lack of cai. Maybe my car is just a dud.

There's no war to get into. I'm not doubting anyone's dynos I'm just trying to understand as a new Z owner for when I do my setup.

No biggie. Just get a base line before you install if thats possible. My runs were like a month apart and 10-20 degree difference in temperature. After I go uprev, we'll see how the numbers change. Not too thrilled with my numbers, but I'm not going to place too much emphasis on them.

Excellent review! All the videos and different sounds kick major *** and will be extremely helpful...however now I am torn in what direction to go...

I am looking at this exhaust and the Exotic Speed Titan R II. Anyone have any recommendations on which route to go. Both sound killer and have great gains. My only draw back is how limited the info is on the Titan R II. Could really use some fellow Z owner peer pressure and second opinions (:

Very nice exhaust, any reason why it's priced almost $400 more than its competitors?
