![]() The lowest point of the exhaust is exactly under the rear axle where you can only bottom out so much before the suspension hits the stops and all other remaining clearance is determined by the fixed wheel diameter. If the lowest point of the exhaust is anywhere fore or aft of the rear axle that low point quickly becomes more vulnerable to scraping. There would be a loss of clearance by extrapolating that same low point to other parts of the car while going over a speed bump for example. So that is exactly what we didn't do. When ground clearance is an important issue, put the lowest point directly under the rear axle and then make it as high as possible.
