Has anyone thought about smoothing out the throttle body where it meets the intake and making that lip smaller to smooth air flow? I did this with my old car

Has anyone thought about smoothing out the throttle body where it meets the intake and making that lip smaller to smooth air flow? I did this with my old car and it made a very slight difference, but it's cheap and easy.
