At least we know the HFCs are still coming in.

rreign 06-11-2009 06:54 AM

I'm beginning to think we might have another Borla type dilemma here :shakes head:

miguez 06-11-2009 10:03 AM

C'mon, guys, don't start that, it hasn't been long at all since they weren't even done with the prototype. rreign, I know you're probably joking, but that's how some people start to get serious about stuff like this.

Let's allow the Berk guys time to finish this setup right, test it, fine tune it, then release a great product.

agreed...but in a half serious half kidding point... i just hope any group buy (if there will one be) would not go down like the GTM one...

M.Bonanni 06-11-2009 05:15 PM

There will be a group buy!

It will start as soon as we have pricing. Also, the mufflers are due into Berk sometime next week.

Solus 06-11-2009 06:27 PM

wooohooo.. lol now depending how long it will take to receive after ordering i may have to re-evaluate my decision on which exhaust to buy

rreign 06-12-2009 09:43 AM

Hey man, don't kill the dream:shakes head: I got long term goals here! I'm just makin the numbers work before I buy.

miguez 06-12-2009 08:52 PM

Nothing wrong with that, keep that dream alive!

nogoodname 06-12-2009 08:57 PM

Headers are really important to get, if you plan on keeping the car for a bit, good thing to invest in.

i've had and have cars that were and are 20 yrs old, the headers are done and it's hard to change b/c everything is old and could break something while moving things around....so get the headers early and enjoy them for quite awhile.

I'm in for some of that once I get an ear full of the sound, price, and HP numbers. I have high hopes and low doubts though on this one !:driving:

Agreed! When I bought my 350Z back in late 2001, I already had all the new stereo gear bought and sitting in my garage for 2 months before the car arrived on the freakin boat!

jimmy99 06-15-2009 10:53 AM

I could really use a approximate date on a dyno, sound clips, and availability, I'm getting veryyyyy impatient. Thanks :tiphat:

lol, so could I. Rest assured that as soon as I have a shipping date for my exhaust, I will be on the phone scheduling before & after dynos. It shouldn't take more than a few days from when I receive the exhaust to get a baseline dyno, install the exhaust, get an after dyno, and get sound clips. The availability and pricing part will be up to Berk.

theDreamer 06-15-2009 10:57 AM

How am I not subscribed to this, well now I am. I will wait patiently for the results. :D

jimmy99 06-15-2009 01:55 PM

haha... Alright, thanks.

B1nks 06-15-2009 02:02 PM

It seems as though the other stuff up to this point has gone fairly smooth and quick and these last few days/hours/minutes are taking fooorreeeevverrrrrr !

M.Bonanni 06-16-2009 12:27 PM

UPDATE!

The mufflers showed up to Berk Technology yesterday so it shouldn't be long before I have mine in hand to install and test!

Also, pricing hasn't been 100% locked down yet, but word is that it will most likely have an MSRP of $1200-$1300.

miguez 06-16-2009 12:30 PM

Cool! So their mufflers are not made in-house, huh?

Nope, most companies aren't.

Will there be a group buy oppertunity ? Some expensive sheit ! Hopefully worth it cause I'm ready !

M.Bonanni 06-16-2009 01:49 PM

There "should" be a group buy. I am still working on that. Once they lock down pricing, I think they will give me the details on any possible group buy. They have said they will work something out though.

CBRich 06-16-2009 07:54 PM

I'm feeling $1K group buy.

gnarf 06-17-2009 07:57 PM

i wanna hear some soundage...in-car driving and some revving...i will gladly purchase the exhaust before I purchase my Z...performance numbers as well..

But this is without the X pipe, isn't it? Just asking, as I am compiling my "mods" list until my 370Z finally arrives...

Correct. This was the first 'raw' prototype, which was true-dual if I remember correctly.

joejo02 06-20-2009 12:15 AM

omg can't wait till the final product is done!!

import111 06-20-2009 08:26 AM

Don't forget to get a weight on this exhaust. Weight is going to be my 1 of my big deciding factors.
