i also can't wait to hear it and see what kind of gains it produces, more then likely the day it becomes available im buying, along with somee HFC's.

semtex 05-25-2009 09:05 AM

You guys would be well advised to order your HFCs sooner rather than later. My understanding is that they keep running out of inventory and going on backorder.

BerkTech 05-26-2009 05:03 PM

We have a few sets in stock and have a stocking order arriving mid June. With the new laws regarding catalytic converts its been harder to source parts and increased demand has had a huge impact on our inventory.

So are we looking at a point where these won't be available? Is that a possibility? If so, I may need to advance my plans to order.

Yeah, please let us know what's up with that. I don't even have the car yet but I'd be willing to buy just in case.

The product will be available but at a higher cost. The MSRP will not change but coming July 1st we will be cutting dealer discounts on any product that utilizes a catalytic converter. For us to even source the cats in CA it's become somewhat of a logistics tango that we have to play. The irony of all of this is that they're manufactured about 15 minutes away from our shop, yet we have to truck them in from 1500 miles away.... go figure.

BerkTech 05-27-2009 04:51 AM

And a video of prototype #1. This is without the X-pipe. The X-pipe should give it a higher pitched tone.

Take note that this exhaust sounds great with HFC's! (or test pipes) :)

I think it's sounding great, X-pipe will definitely give it a better, smoother more exotic sound, can't wait to hear it

semtex 05-27-2009 06:33 AM

Def. sounds better with HFCs.

LiquidZ 05-27-2009 06:56 AM

Sounds hot with HFC's!

I noticed a vibration as the revs went down. Could this be caused by having no crossover?

P.S. Mario music ftw.

FuszNissan 05-27-2009 07:09 AM

Sounds very nice

What kind of increase in the price are we going to see? PM if needed. I need to know soon, because I gotta save a little extra cheese over he next month then.

M.Bonanni 05-27-2009 10:41 AM

I love it! Can't wait to hear it in person and with the x-pipe.

nogoodname 05-27-2009 10:45 AM

that sounded quite nice !!!

a must to get HFC's with this exhaust

CrownR426 05-27-2009 10:49 AM

LOL, the super mario song is the best part!
Very nice pitch, interested in this!

ZforMe 05-27-2009 10:49 AM

Damn iPhone won't play the video, this is torture!

semtex, I think both were with the HFCs, the difference was the first was with the stock Nissan exhaust, the second was with the Berk prototype cat-back exhaust ;).

nogoodname 05-27-2009 10:53 AM

^^ u're right...

Yep, you're right. Dang, then this shows how much the sound improves with just the HFCs! Like even with a stock exhaust it sounds more aggressive.

rreign 05-27-2009 03:54 PM

I'm sold, where do I sign at.

Ya, I was going to comment on how aggressive it already sounded stock with just the HFCs...

Diversion 05-27-2009 04:33 PM

Definately sounds like none of the other exhaust out there.. waiting to hear it with the X-pipe added in!

CBRich 05-27-2009 05:23 PM

It does have a nice sound. Hopefully we'll get to hear it with the X-pipe soon. I am assuming by not having the X-pipe we are hearing true duals.

m4a1mustang 05-27-2009 07:26 PM

I can tell this is going to sound awesome with the X pipe.

Would be nice to get a vid with HFCs and with stock cats for a comparo.

Diversion 05-27-2009 07:40 PM

On 2nd thought after realizing the first part was stock exhaust with HFCs, I *really* like the way the stock sounds with just HFCs.. I think i'll go that route for a while.

Minicobra1 05-28-2009 12:54 AM

Berk, I think I found the secret video with you testing the X-pipe setup  why did you remove all the body work from that 370z though

Will flex couplings be added to this setup like the true duals?

drisko 05-28-2009 01:15 AM

I'm ready to purchase the Berk High-Flow cats. Can some vendor PM me a price and how long they would take to ship to So Cal? Hopefully there is some sort of discount for forum members

Yes, they will be. (I recall this being mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread.)

Seems odd to me how Irvine is like 20 minutes from my place, but I have to go farther away to get the exhaust ><

Anyway, DDM can you PM me a quote as well? Thanks!

B1nks 05-28-2009 08:28 PM

would like a PM on the HFC also to 77566

Just got around to listening to it. Sounds very mice.

I'm interested to hear what the final product will sound like. Keep up the good work Berk.

snarnvan 05-30-2009 03:38 PM

Interested in Exhaust

I have already installed the HFC's and I am very pleased of the sound. Can a rep from the vendor tell me how much it would be for the exhaust (zip code 77346). Thanks!

rreign 05-30-2009 03:46 PM

I think Mike from DDMotorsports ***might*** know a guesstimate price.

Nikon FM 05-30-2009 05:58 PM

Sound is great! Waiting for X-pipe vid and comparitive dyno chart.

Thanks for all the effort on this.

I tried talking to them today out on the track and they still haven't come up with a ballpark price on the cat-back :(.
