That looks nice! Can't wait to hear it!

SoCal 370Z 05-16-2009 11:42 AM

I have to give Berk lots of credit. They have carefully routed pieces to avoid issues (e.g., look at how the front cans pass low and to the sides of the drive shaft). They are taking their time to get it correct. Looks great!

LiquidZ 05-16-2009 11:48 AM

It looks great. I can't wait to see the real deal.

miguez 05-16-2009 11:51 AM

Looks like cops would have a really hard time reading your plate ;)

bboypuertoroc 05-16-2009 03:06 PM

Looks good so far.

jimmy99 05-16-2009 06:53 PM

Looking very nice! I can't wait to hear some sound clips and see dyno results, I hope it's good!

B1nks 05-17-2009 11:38 AM

come oooooon Berk ! I was going to get the GTM exhaust once the price came down but now I'm waiting for this because I have high hopes of getting the exhaust + HFC from Berk. Need another update and an estimated finish date though..that would be nice.

Nikon FM 05-17-2009 12:00 PM

Looking forward to this exhaust. My thoughts are BERK HFCs and exhaust. Sure would like to hear the combo before purchase though (video hint). Also looking forward to the gains from both. Thanks BERK tech. for doing such an outstanding job so far!

M.Bonanni 05-18-2009 08:23 PM

Picked up the car on Sunday from Berk with the stock exhaust back on it. I will hopefully be getting the first production piece to test x-pipe/h-pipe setups on in a week or so.

rreign 05-19-2009 08:36 AM

DD, you have Berk HFC's right? I'm waiting to hear the end result with that combo as well.

Looks good and solid. Time for dynos and vids.

BerkTech 05-19-2009 01:55 PM

We are still tweaking a few things on the exhaust but keep and eye out for video's and dyno numbers in the next few weeks

nogoodname 05-19-2009 02:48 PM

my bad, i just checked, it's ur thread...opps

but this is really great b/c ppl like Berks HFC's minus the sensor problems and now they can possibly get a combo deal for a cat back which looks like a solid build.....not bad

BerkTech 05-19-2009 03:25 PM

As of right now we are just working on the 370z

will you be offering different style tips and construction type? i.e. slant cut tips, flat tips, stainless steel tips, titanium tips?

I really want Titanium tips to set off against my white bumper!

System looks amazing!!! Since it's a true dual exhaust system, does it have an disadvantages against an X-pipe exhaust system (equalizing the exhaust pressures on both banks) or will we see more power with this set-up?

Any type of cross-over pipe will typically see better gains than a set up with none. I say typical because every car is different.

Dave,

The production versions will end up with either an X or H Pipe.

rreign 05-21-2009 04:46 PM

Patiently waiting for update. Come on Mike/Berk, give us something.

M.Bonanni 05-21-2009 04:49 PM

Great. I would assume an X pipe would make more power but I know you guys will do whatever gives us the most bang for the buck.

M.Bonanni 05-24-2009 04:54 PM

Got an update for you vultures. :D

X-Pipe completed. My exhaust should be done by Wednesday and here in my hands on Friday, however not sure if I can get it installed on the car on Friday because thats the day I am heading out to Willow Springs for the Redline Time Attack. If not, installation, testing, etc. will happen early the next week.

Kidding. That X-pipe looks nice. I can't wait for some dyno numbers.

B1nks 05-24-2009 07:22 PM

Don't you want it on for the RLTA event !? hehe

k20z3 05-24-2009 07:25 PM

sick!

GaryTheSnail 05-24-2009 07:27 PM

I'm really happy with the direction they are taking so far with their exhaust system... that X-pipe looks amazing!!! I ordered the Berk HFC's yesterday and this exhaust would be a nice addition to go with them. Can't wait.

Dave

I was hoping you would go with an H pipe as my understanding is that would provide more low end torque, something I believe this car needs. But beggars can't be choosers I suppose :p

I think that's correct. X pipes have more HP gains, but fall flat on torque, while H pipes don't give you as many ponies, but more torque. Someone correct if wrong.

jrmlk 05-24-2009 08:35 PM

cant wait till hear it..
