Ya i've been looking for these Y pipes for quite a bit just sharing with you guys. I Saw this post just now on my350 thought i share with you guys

We are proud to bring you the Tanabe Exhaust Y-Pipe for the Nissan 370Z. Sharing the same efficient design as our y-pipe for the 350z, this exhaust application for the 370z proves to improve horsepower and torque throughout the whole rev range. (+ ~9 HP / + ~6 Tq)

The catback exhaust system of the Nissan 350z and 370z is broken up into three parts -- the front pipe (y-pipe), midpipe, and the muffler section. The Y-Pipe is the beginning of the catback system, and it mounts immediately after the catalytic converters. Following the Y-Pipe is the midpipe, and finally the muffler section. As the first part of the Z catback exhaust system, the Y-Pipe is an ever-important element. In order to extract the maximum potential from an aftermarket exhaust system, changing the factory Y-Pipe to a high-performance piece is a MUST.

Our testbed for the y-pipe was this 100% STOCK Nissan 370Z. Leaving the factory midpipe and muffler section intact, we installed our Tanabe Y-Pipe, which created power in this otherwise completely untouched Z.

SUS304 Construction
The Nissan Z Car is a high performance car with great output. As such, it's important for the exhaust system to be able to survive the heat and pressure from the engine. The Tanabe Y-Pipe is made from Full SUS304 Stainless Steel, which is the strongest steel currently available.

Power Up
Even with the factory exhaust in place, the Tanabe Y-Pipe will result in a power increase. The numbers don't lie! (+ ~9 HP / + ~6 Tq). But if you get more HP without making the car louder that would be a plus.

I'm just use to my Wifes 2007 Solstice GXP. Went to the dealer got a GM performance tune under factory warranty plus had the dealer install it for $750.00. Which made +30hp and +65lbs tq, but thats because the tune raised the boost from 17psi to 21-23psi. It's just real easy to get major HP from turbo charged cars! The Solstice is gone (Should say Totaled) and now I have the 370z which is much nicer car. I just wish I could make that kind of extra power with the 370z without making it really loud, and breaking the bank.

Also, JIC MAGIC has a y pipe available now. I'll post up pictures of them tomorrow. Unfortunately, its around the same price as the tanabe's.

Better than the Amuse Y Pipe cost at about $1500!!

Then again, it is Amuse and it is titanium.... I still want to know how much weight it saves over the stock Y...

Revive! I've also been looking for Y pipes now. Does anyone know the weight difference between the JIC and the Amuse Y pipe? I don't know if I can justify spending $1350 for a Y pipe. Even though I just bought the Amuse R100 and the full setup would be nice. Anyone opinions would be appreciated.

It would be a matter of 5-10 pounds at most, whether that is worth another grand is up to you.

I got these ypipe and I love them... Tanabe ypipe with stock exhaust lol. These are pretty light... no problems whatsoever.

I would guess I dropped around 10 pounds of exhaust weight between the Berk HFCs and the Tanabe Y pipe but weight savings isn't high on my list as 10 pounds is negligible.

The weld and collector quality on these are much nicer that the JIC or Topspeed Y pipes and the overall design of the bends is smoother. It is a bit expensive and it is debatable whether or not what I mentioned actually yields and improvement over the others but it is better quality nonetheless.

Anyone know if this a 80mm (3 inch) exit and any weight specs?

Yes, the exit is a full 3" diameter. I honestly cannot remember the weight, but it was 7 pounds less than the stock Y pipe when I measured the difference. I will update if I can find my info where I have the stats.

Thanks for the info. This is the only specs I could find (http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...st&prodid=2836) and it says it's a 70mm collector (2.75in). But the heading also says it's for a 350z....did they make the collector larger for the 370?
