Default TANABE Racing development 370Z update: TANABE springs, swaybar and underbrace

I stumbled upon TANABE blog and saw some new pictures/video of their 370Z. I decided to share it with you guys.

Chapter 1

Among the sea of upgrades are all the parts which are about to be tested on the 370Z. The test items for the Z include springs, underbracing, and exhausts.

Chapter 2

Without measuring the stock items, it would be impossible to develop the aftermarket items. The pieces that were brought from Japan were tested on the 370Z in Japan, but it is necessary to ensure that the measurements on the Japanese 370Z are the same as on the American 370Z.

Noting the measurements of the stock damper unit

Chapter 3: Closeup - Chassis Bracing & Stabilizer Bars

Front and Rear Swaybars for the 370Z

Front Underbrace

Chapter 4: Closeup - GF210 and NF210 Springs

Front Stabilizer and Front Underbrace shown. The R&D staff had to trim the ends of the Front Underbrace as it was contacting the factory mud guards on this Z. The final version of the Front Underbrace will be adjusted to clear the mud guards properly (without requiring any trimming).

Quote:
During the R&D Session, the technicians noticed that the Concept G Exhaust was contacting the factory charcoal canister towards the rear of the car. Due to this issue, the Concept G version of the exhaust system is going back to the drawing board. However, the Medalion Touring passed testing with flying colors and will be going into production at a later date.

They just did the R&D for the GF210 springs on my car. I've got 'em installed now.

Thanks, the spring rate is between 20-30% over stock. There is definitely some negative camber going on now + I need to get an alignment done. Maybe a camber kit.. I dunno yet.

Let us know how the camber was when you get the alignment, and then how close they can get it back to factory specs. How much did it lower? looks similar to the Eibachs around 1"

Sweet setup on the Z KillerBee. I'm thinking of doing the GF210's. Did you do an alignment yet to see how far off it is? Wondering if you needed the camber kits or not. Thanks

Yeah I went and got the alignment and camber adjustment. No camber kit. Handles extremely well at the track and around town, it's on rails.
