PM Sent. Thx for the inquiry .

I think it is safe to say that we can expect a Y Pipe from Amuse in the future, as well as suspension and aero, maybe even a GT1 or JGTC inspired widebody. None of this is for sure but based on their products with the Z33, the S2000, and the GT-R, I think that everything I mentioned is a definite possibility.

We just found out from Amuse that they are offering a new tip design for 2009. The new tip will involve a thicker tip wall with a purple burn around the edge.

Here is a picture I found of an Amuse Z33 Y-Pipe.

I think it is possible. Amuse offers very exclusive options in order to make their products more distinct.

We are considering stocking the Amuse front pipe and HFC.

For the rear section exhaust we probably won't stock it; only reason for this is because there are different gradation finishes/designs that you can choose from when you order. This means that every exhaust is going to be subtly different and unique in its own way. We might stock an exhaust with a gradation finish that no one wants.

This is why for now we are sticking to "special order only". If enough people order an Amuse exhaust we will consider stocking one, especially if a majority of the orders share similarities in gradation finishes.

If we do stock an Amuse exhaust, how many more people would be interested in buying one?

Any chance of posting dynos of both pipes?

Also, on your site, it's confusing. In one location, it says the Extra single pipe saves 20.9 lbs., but then it also says 19 lbs. directly underneath there. It also says 19 lbs. and 21 hp. for both the Silent and the Extra pipe, but it seems hard to believe they're both the same...

Love the looks of these, love the weight savings - just need more info and more vids (sorry - I'm impatient).

No worries, I like your enthusiasm. Sorry for the confusion on the site.

The R1-Extra is 1.15kg, roughly 2lbs, lighter than the RS-Silent.

Currently we do not have any dynographs for the R1-Extra. Based on the form and design of each exhaust, I think it is safe to say that out of the box, the R1-Extra probably provides a little bit more back pressure and less weight; the RS-Silent has more potential for more power gains with other mods.

With the R1-Extra, when you order the exhaust, for an additional $200 you can upgrade the two 50mm piping to two 60mm piping. This option helps the R1-Extra with its potential for more horsepower gains with other mods.

Once we receive dyno charts from Amuse for the R1-Extra we will be posting those everywhere so keep checking back on our website and threads for updates.

This tip design is going to be standard on all Z34 Amuse exhausts for 2009 and the gold ring option is available for those that would like it .

Nice - thanks. It seems like if you're going to do it, the larger piping makes sense. I'll be curious to see if that option matches the Silent.

Are u talking about the R1 extra here or the RS Silent? Because you are saying that we can increase the two piping diameters from 50mm to 60mm but the R1 Extra only has one mid pipe before going into the mufflers. And also u say that the RS Silent has the potential for more power with other mods where as the R1 provides more backpressure...then u say the R1 extra has the potential for more power with other mods once the two pipings are upgraded??? Sorry for the confusion...trying to clear this up in my head. Which one can make more power?

Thank you for clarifying; I apologize for any confusion. It basically boils down to the options you go with. There are three options in terms of pipe designs that can determine the overall flow.

RS-Silent - most potential for more power due to design

R1-Extra-standard piping (dual 50mm) - great option for NA cars due to back pressure

R1-Extra-upgraded piping (60mm) - more potential than the standard R1-Extra for power

I hope this helps.

Well, I am see it is the larger piping makes sense IF you plan on heavy upgrades. I don't plan on anything more than catback (y pipe included), maybe an intake, and a tune.

Does that make sense???? I see the larger piping for turbo applications.
