Too small of a gap and it may end up sounding like a shitty exhaust leak.

We've been running like this for almost 5000 miles. I love the sound for the pricetag... $Free - I've got more spare washers than Home Depot.

Waiting for the MotorDyne exhaust to come out. Until then, this suffices.

in the winter time you're going to have steam come out the washered gasket area and your car's going to look broken.

Holliday, hook me up with some video of your ride + hfc + washer mod. I just want to see how loud is it. Might do this to my ride before i get my exhaust system.

I would prolly put it back to stock in the winter time and run it only during the sunny cali days (8 months out of the year).

You should be able to slip them in with another set of hands helping. You can slide the muffler back and forth on the exhaust hangers, which gives you about an inch of flexibility.

kewl thx....I might try this tomorrow. I cannot believe my Nismo CBE ($1700) proved zero hp gains on the dyno and really did nothing to the exhaust note. So I am gonna try and get my monies worth with this $6 mod. Plus I have Berk HFC's so it should be even more interesting than "Holiday's" setup.
