If it feels normal and you got the engine to normal temp, and the engine isn't missing, then thats normal for the tubes to absorb heat from the engine with the hood closed. You do have the long tubes right?

Yup it's the long tubes. No abnormal sounds or shakes during idle/driving. So maybe it's normal.

If It's idling just fine, and you have no cel light pop up your good.
