From what we've seen so far is that the stock intakes flow very well up until the very top of the RPM range... that's where the LT intakes actually gain over stock. I don't know if those sections of the pipe become a restriction or if it's something else, but it's pretty clear that the stock units are pretty good.

Well....I don't think they are a substitution for a well engineered aftermarket system, but just having a larger ID crossection and a smoothed interior has to help with flow. I'm betting the Silicone will heat up less than the metal typically used in most CAI's. I wouldn't expect any measurable dyno gains outside of the statistical differences expected from run to run.

Yes, I agree that the stockers would seem to be pretty good. They match my system (and the Stillen G3) for intake temp control which is a good thing. A Cone may flow a bit better than a flat panel and Box...Regardless, smooth hose downstream of the filter should help. Not enough to make a Kick-*** difference, but I believe that enough small, incremental improvements ultimately result in nice overall performance gains.

Everytime I see these I always think why not at least buy a short ram but since there are 2 intake on this car the money adds up quick.
