An experienced butt can pick up mid-range gains pretty accurately, but even very experienced butts aren't going to pick up anything with the intake, as all of the gains are at the very top of the range.

Mostly what you have is psychological interference contaminating the butt-dyno's data. Aftermarket intakes make really cool noises which can translate to "power gain" even if there really isn't one.

I can say for certain that I feel nothing out of my Injens... they gained power at the very top and at around 10 whp it's so minimal and for such a brief period you can't feel it.

Exhaust on the other hand... +20 whp at mid-range is something you feel without a doubt.
