Hey there. I have to get my car inspected soon and I'm afraid it won't pass because of a permanent error code (cat efficiency below threshold). I have Berk non-res test pipes and have been getting CEL's a lot lately (probably happened two or three times in the last 100 miles). They haven't been on this past week or anything, but because of my upcoming inspection, I'm afraid I won't be passing.
What should I do: should I swap my pipes for some HFCs, or just stick the OEM ones back on? Also, how might I go about clearing the permanent code? I'm at work right now, so I can't get the actual number. I think it's PO106, but that's just from a quick Google search. Also, would getting a tune fix this problem? I'm not sure how it is with the Berk pipes. Don't they clear the ECU for a tune? Would that include the permanent code? Thanks, sorry for the nooby questions this morning.
