Demon Bolt removal the second time

I have not been able to find an answer but if there is please feel free to direct me in the correct direction. I know that we have some demon

Post Demon Bolt removal the second time

I have not been able to find an answer but if there is please feel free to direct me in the correct direction.


I know that we have some demon bolts on the cats. Once they are removed and HFC/ Test Pipes are installed will the demon bolts be hard to remove again later on? or is it a one time thing? the reason I ask is I want to be able to switch between TP and the stock cats.

In my experience it was just a one time thing. I just put lubricant on a cotton ball and left it on the bolt overnight and it came off with ease the next morning. I imagine over time it could get rusted again and cause problems but the bolts that come with most TP's seem to prevent that.

Awesome! it was one doubt i had before going ahead and buying test pipes I did not want to deal with the demon bolts more than once!

It's just the one time. Also afterwards people generally put the bolt in so that it's much easier to get too. I had no problems when I changed from non resonated to resonated test pipes.

IINM, the stock bolt goes through the header and screws into the flange of the catalytic converter and requires multiple u-joint swivels and a half mile of extensions just to get to the bolt from the engine bay side. I'm pretty sure he means that once the TPs or HFCs are installed, they reverse the bolt head so you can get to it from below which provides much easier access.

Ah allright! it makes sense! thanks for clearing that up! not looking forward to the demon bolts in the future but i will take on the challenge! thanks for everything!
