If you want an easy way to alter the sound without spending $$$ on a full catback, look at AAM short tails. You can get them resonated or not, to help discourage drone at certain RPMs:
AAM Competition - Nissan GT-R, 370Z Turbo Performance Specialists The cheapest way to do it is to go to your local muffler shop and ask for a muffler delete. They should have exhaust tips you can chose from as well. Would cost about $150.
