Default 2014 Nismo on AAM S-Line Midpipe

AAM S-Line Mid-Pipe Review

All, I just recently replace my Nismo factory H-Pipe with the AAM S-Line Midpipes. Factory Cats and Nismo Factory exhaust Can still in use. Install was simple. 1.5 hours in the driveway on jackstands. I chose to use the factory gaskets front and rear with the AAM Waffle gaskets in the middle. No leaks at all using this method. Good mellow sound increase. The car just sounds nicer to me. I also used the permatex copper gasket on both sides of each gasket.

Overall a positive change for the car, the fit and finish is excellent. The stainless finish just shows that I have more parts to buy to finish the whole exhaust.

2 thumbs up for AAM and the S-Line Mid-Pipe. I recommend this to anyone looking to improve the breathing and exhaust flow of their car.

Update: I added the S-Line Axle Back muffler to this setup just recently. Let me say the combination of the two is the ticket. Very simple install. Only took an hour total in the driveway on jackstands. The sound is just right. When you are on the throttle you know it with this setup. Nice growl at first startup, Quiets down to a normal volume level at 30 seconds. Driving at cruise the exhaust note is mild and calm. On the gas the exhaust come alive, hard on the gas it absolutely has a howl to it. No Regret in swapping from the factory Nismo exhaust. A worthy addition.

Thanks for your thread, I just installed the Meisterschaft axel backs and want to purchased the AAM S Line pipes that has that H-pipe.
The prices aren't bad on them also. I started to get the completeAAM setup like you, but at the last minute I went the Meisterschaft.
I'm glad that you like them.

Update: I completed the transition to Full AAM S-Line exhaust. I also swapped the factory cats to the Berk HFCs. Initial results are favorable. There is a bit of drone at 2k RPM under steady load. But it goes away at 2.2k RPM. The real exhaust note comes on at about 3.3k RPM. The cruise at 3k RPM is nice and tame until you get into the throttle and then you realize why the AAM is a good choice. She'll roar all the way to 7k. Truly then in turns the gas into the LOUD pedal. Wink.

NOTE: Without swapping the factory cats the full AAM S-Line exhaust is a nice change, but with a muted note all around. The Berks add quite the aggressive note to the exhaust. I like it. Just my view.

Hope this brief review help you make an intelligent purchase decision at some point.

Thanks AAM and Berktechnology for putting out a quality product!
