How was cutting not required? I made my own CAI and used silicone and 100% had to cut the radiator support like all. Being 2.5" ID in the silicone to of course go around 2.5" OD pipe, it's even bigger then stillen going through there. Of course silicone can bend and stuff but you wouldn't want to. You'd be changing the shape of that section and changing the air flow through there. Not to mention the rubbing which I had and had to re cut the holes bigger.

I would. You have to remember the motor rocks a good bit. Every time you hit WOT and the motor rocks back and those tubes are being crushed in there, you're pushing and pulling on them and they will 100% rub through and be trashed.
