A Hole In Gen 3 intake

I'm not sure how it happens. I've bought the car 3 months ago and just found out. I'm guessing it has been rubbing against the car edge.

Talking

The cheap way of doing it is to grind down the edges, and wrap duct tape around it.

To do it right. Tig weld it. Find a good aluminum tig welder. Hopefully he will know how to prep the area for welding, and can weld. Once you have it welded. Check inside the tube to make sure there is NO dingle berries hanging. If so, you will have to grind them down/off. The last thing you want is to have a dingle berry breaking loose and running down the tube at full speed into your motor.

The other option is to get a new tube from Stillen.

Yeah I think ordering new tube and grind that edge down would be my choice. I'm currently driving the car on a regular basic not sure is it ok to that with that hole haven't been fixed.

Wink

Wrap duct tape around the tube until the new tube shows up. You'll keep dirt and crap out for the time being.
