Car looks clean and the video was well put together. Takes balls to hit 170mph on open road(personally 120mhp in 5th is my shut down point)

None the less we we're on two different aspects of FI. Just take in mind you're hitting 230wtq at 40mph and twins usually hit 400+wtq at 2.5k rmps. Big different, but when my smaller turbos peak at 6.6kish yours is just beginning to open up.

Thanks again for your input.
Anytime...I'm not trying to offend anyone. You can hit 8 psi at 2.2k dam I was thinking more around 3k...but any way yes its a different world. 2nd gear 40 is around 4k I think which is prime starting point for my car tires hold just fine and that's all I was trying to say...

Was comparing at 10psi 480whp, but 3.2k I'm about 4 psi(320ishwtq)

4k on a single unit is still awesome power, but if your not blowing your tires 5k to 7k then

Is this your dyno? If so, are you running the ball bearing or journal bearing?

that cobalt drivers have sweet handlebars and shoot dimly lit videos from rear third quarter perspective?

At least he wasn't rollin on stretched 20's at 170mph on shittty public roads so I do give him props for that.

Edit: and just for some perspective I live in cali most of the modded cars on the road here are running stretched low pro's and I laugh my asz off everytime i drive past one on the highway after a blow-out with a FUCKEDUP rim and his tread lying 100yards in front of the car.

Actually, I am just making sure the community if well informed of the capabilities of certain kits. I would hate to see some guy buy a GTM kit in fear that a single will be laggy and underperform. Forums are meant to be educational and not give people false information.

Jwick. That is my dyno. Actually one where I was running off spring pressure only. You can see this by the way my boost drops off really bad up top. The WG springs get hot and loosen up. This is why nobody should ever run off springs alone. After I figured out my MBC it held boost evenly across the range.

I got the ball bearing upgrade. I also have that 16* timing to help spool thanks to the E.

oh i got you i just felt like throing a honda joke in there. if you cant tell my job is quite boring some days and this forum provides entertainment along with the educational notes on turbo kits

personally i would never touch a GTM kit nor go with a single turbo.

i would either go with a TT kit from FI or AAM. shoot for about 500-550whp since i DD it in the warm months. also add a level10 upgraded 7AT thats capable of about 1000hp so i dont blow it up.

Ummm...And why is that? Did you look at the curve of that chart I posted with only 9lbs?

i like both of the aforementioned companies and their products/services first off.

secondly theres only 1 company that does a signle kit that i know of and a. they dont do autos, b. owner is a bit douchey, and c. i'm not a fan of the mounting location for as i DD it and the location in a rain situation worries me slightly. prbably not a big issue but it's a thought for concern.

now a cutsom top mount single like another PA guy mykindaguise on here did would be a route to look into but thats a lot of time and money to custom fab another kit from scratch like he did.

You have your reasons. I'm sure to do with Sam's way of business. GTM kit was on the car before I purchased it, but this isn't my 1st FI VQ.

Single turbo is like NOS. When it comes on it comes the **** on.

but

Depending on size of turbo and tune makes a different comparing powerbands on dyno charts.

Actually that's a amazing dyno for single.
