Tried calling GTM today.... they have a new answering machine/operator that doesn't let you get to talk to anyone.... anybody had contact with them recently?

esfourteen 11-24-2014 08:08 PM

I talked to Sam about a month ago, supposedly moving to a new location

GrooveStyle 11-24-2014 10:18 PM

He called me back tonight, which was nice. Said that their new phone answering machine system was dorked up, but when you leave a message it sends him an email saying so. He ensured me they are still around. Hope that refund comes. Week 28.

G37sHKS 12-01-2014 04:04 AM

Yes you are missing how the bankruptcy laws work. File for bankruptcy and then start a new company (under a different) name, it's a common practice there.

I have a friend who has one of their tt kits and just found out that one of his manifolds are cracked and causing a rich condition on bank 2. All of that money wasted to have to now be forced to purchase another kit..

bullitt5897 12-24-2014 02:02 PM

His manifold can be welded fyi... The earlier kits had this problem...

GrooveStyle 02-02-2015 07:10 PM

Anyone hear anything new in the GTM front?

vividracing 02-02-2015 07:23 PM

I have ordered a new turbo manifold made from new casting to withstand higher heat for an existing TT customer. Things are moving slowly but still forward.

COSMO 02-02-2015 08:47 PM

Please keep us updated on that ordered because I would be really surprised if it came through on a timely manner or even at all...

jpritche 02-02-2015 08:51 PM

They finished the white dragon, so at least they're doing something:ugh2:

COSMO 02-02-2015 09:05 PM

The crazy over the top 1000+ HP build they started a few years ago now, though I don't know what the build ended up being once complete.

So that only took three years right? Meanwhile, Dynosty just released a 820 rwhp using the VQ. :)

With a modest GReddy "tuner" kit, Stillin exhaust and OEM intake manifold  .. Just saying

IT may have been longer than that :ugh2:It blows my mind how hard they made something that Dynosty did so easily.

You gotta understand that GTM is working with 3-4 year old tech.

Also... I'd wait for the new dyno numbers... My prediction is somewhere around 1200WHP

COSMO 02-03-2015 09:29 AM

pm sent regarding those manifolds..

Based on my experience with certain vendors I usually double their ETA. So we will see what happens by end of this month.

I agree. Jon is tuning it so I'm sure they will be pretty high.

R/T Tuning 02-03-2015 11:39 AM

It has officially been 1 year since GTM received full payment for a stage 1.5 supercharger kit that we ordered for a customer's 370z (who we refunded in full back in May of 2014 , because we was expecting a 8-12 week wait , as were we based on the information provided by Sam)

They sent the majority of the kit in September, but it was missing the supercharger and pulley....obviously making it hard to sell this supercharger kit.

Multiple calls to the shop phone as well as Sam's cell phone (google number , whatever), and countless emails have still lead to no resolution in site.

I estimate i have invested at least 25 hours worth of follow up time in the last 52 weeks, a lot of it while at home with my family because being on the east coast it always seemed easier to talk to an real person after 5:00pm est.

Meanwhile back in October 2014 i ordered 4 370z supercharger kits from Stillen at the same time and had all 4 within 10 business days.

phunk 02-03-2015 02:02 PM

it looks like whoever makes their exhaust manifold castings is looking for other sources of moving them now. an old distributor of mine emailed me a couple days ago with a picture of them and said he can get them now if i wanted to use them for a kit... but we just finished our own manifolds and I never cared for those ones anyway. not to mention, always better to steer clear of drama when you can.

Can you keep in touch with him so those of us who would otherwise have to resort to dealing with GTM again have a better option?

phunk 02-03-2015 02:22 PM

I replied back fishing for details but then he didnt reply yet. I am not sure if he decided it was a bad idea to get mixed up or just hasnt got around to the email yet

Chuck, I got you covered.

I think Phunk and I are talking to the same guy.

I was told $800 for a set is the price.

EDIT 2: spoke with Phunk. Same guy... $800 a set is what I was quoted

Good deal. I'm sure I'll have to deal with this at some point.

And the fork in the road...

50 sets need to be ordered at once. Or the supplier won't do it...

phunk 02-03-2015 03:44 PM

they wont find a buyer for 50 sets, and they will have to settle for whatever someone is willing to take.
