Well I guess Stillen might be outta the picture for me, I was leaning toward them cus I thought it was going to be a twin-screw, but since it's going to be simalar to GTM's kit, I'm going to see which one will be more reliable for everyday driving. I'll be more then happy with 450Hp/350tq.

Have they clearly confirmed what kind of SC they're using other than saying it's a Vortech unit? At this point, it could be this centrifugal unit (SUPERCHARGERS: Vortech V-3 Series Supercharger | Vortech Superchargers) or it could be this twin-screw one (VTS Twin-Screw Supercharger Systems Featuring Lysholm Technology | Vortech Superchargers). I think the only clue they've given so far is that it's internally lubricated.

I can wait to see what the #'s are on this SC

Agree'd. Not sure if anyone is following my nitrous thread but im almost done installing my nitrous kit. Running a 100shot, might go abit bigger if i feel the car can handle it. But if i end up buying the SC kit, ill drop the nitrous down to a 50 or 75shot until i get the engine built.

Yeah, I just read the latest update on the other thread. I'd love to see a shootout as well! When we eventually see the dynos from both kits, I'll be looking especially close at how the power curves compare from 3000-6000 rpms and don't really care too much if one puts out a bit more peak power than the other at 7200-7500.

should be very interesting to see how GTMs Rotrex + air/air SC will compare to the Stillens Vortech + air/water SC

Peak doesnt mean a whole lot to me compared to how much gain there is thru all the rpm range. I want power that is there all the time and not just a high peak number thats there for a sec or two.

Now a question I have is how will a SC be different on a AT compared to a manual? Or since we can use the paddles would there even be a difference? Maybe some cuz the gears are alittle different?

the liquid cooled air should produce lower intake temps, may see a few extra ponies compared to an air cooled setup.

Not only that Stillen is modifying the turbine wheels to decrease the lag that is inherent in centrifugal superchargers. Thier new intake will also improve low end torque too. I can't wait until everything is completly unvieled from both. It really sounds like Stillen has put some extreme engineering into this kit. I am still on the fence until I see the results on paper and feedback from the brave who first jump on the kits.
