Maybe you should have slept in, looks like it was pretty early in TX when you posted this as well haha.

Good luck Sam, I'm going to have to give you a friendly "HURRY UP" oh and btw I used new hardware on those test pipes I bought second hand and they sound great! :tiphat:

I'm suppose to start tuning tomorrow morning so with a little luck i should have some results for you by end day tomorrow .

The initial results will reflect the supercharger kit with the complete factory exhauset .

Sam

Thanks, Sam. Would it possible to share the pricing info in the meantime while we're waiting? Looking forward to the dyno results.

StillenZ 02-08-2010 07:55 PM

i like that question ^

Zguy 02-09-2010 10:11 AM

im sure info will come soon guys....

jmlenz 02-09-2010 11:40 AM

shall we start placing bets?

425whp on stock exhaust? Whos got the over/under?

JB-370z 02-09-2010 02:07 PM

I say 431-433

FuszNissan 02-09-2010 02:09 PM

I say 432

Valentino 02-09-2010 02:16 PM

375 - 385 whp on stock exhaust

kdoske 02-09-2010 02:22 PM

390

G37Sam 02-09-2010 02:29 PM

I say 500!

BHP :D

BlackCherryZ 02-09-2010 02:42 PM

"The GTM Supercharger Will Have three different stages to offer

Stage one will come with C38-61 Trim up to 550 HP
Stage two will come with C38-71 trim up to 590 HP
Stage three will come with C38-81 trim up to 630 HP"

550 bhp: crossing fingers!!!!!!

theDreamer 02-09-2010 02:46 PM

I do not think on stock exhaust/cats/etc. this will break into the 400, but with simple bolt on upgrades this will be 430-450 without much change in the SC setup.

Lug 02-09-2010 02:53 PM

I say under 431 or over 433.

Buddy Revell 02-09-2010 03:02 PM

For the CARB-legal version, I predict about 390 to the wheels on stock exhaust, 415 with a catback.

BLUESLATE 02-09-2010 03:04 PM

Right around 400 sounds pretty reasonable for carb kit with stock components.

Buddy Revell 02-09-2010 03:08 PM

I say whoever guesses the closest gets a 25% discount on the SC. That wouldn't be too crazy right, LOL!

kdoske 02-09-2010 03:19 PM

whats the BSFC rating with this engine under FI? Has GTM said what the dyno numbers revealed?

Edit:
nm, doesn't really matter, I was just curious...

StillenZ 02-09-2010 03:47 PM

600 runnin on Unicorn

Wrong kit, AAM runs on unicorn not GTM. So funny that you think GTM runs on unicorn, lame...

jmlenz 02-09-2010 05:43 PM

guess I'll revise my 425whp stock exhaust estimate. Looking around I see our 3.7L has shown to consistantly put down ~425whp @6psi on TT builds (turbo-back exhaust) so I assume 390-400whp would be a safe bet for stock exhaust @6psi on a S/C and MAYBE 425whp with HFCs and 2.5" catback...if infact 6psi is the target boost

Crash 02-09-2010 06:37 PM

In for the updates.

NYBladeZ 02-09-2010 06:46 PM

390-415

dlmartin81 02-09-2010 07:04 PM

~420 (+/- 10) w/stock components

BlackCherryZ 02-09-2010 07:07 PM

LOL................

i guess we are all on the same boat...........

we might have a MI or clinical depression, if the dyno result is not posted by today..... *^^*

DannyGT 02-09-2010 08:10 PM

439whp @ 8psi.

Uh yea

BlackCherryZ 02-10-2010 02:27 PM

hmmmmmmmmmm..............

nothing yet.......... must be busy..............

guessing 445 rwhp at 8 psi for about $7000 for stage 1

edit: :bowrofl::bowrofl::tup:

didn't realize this was my post #101.............getting addicted:stirthepot:

I'll agree with my fellow sedan owner. I think right around 400 WHP on the base kit. Possibly a little over....

I am also guessing a price in the $6000-$6500 range. The kit is really no different than most other kits out there. The HKS kit for the VQ35 is $4500 now. If GTM's is anything over the $6000-$6500 price it will be greatly overpriced given the included components. It will also be treading into their twin turbo territory (which is under $8k), which is a much more complex kit with cast manifolds, two turbos, wastegates, BOV's, etc.

FuszNissan 02-10-2010 04:30 PM

Wow...unicorn blood made it over to GTM
:bowrofl:

JB-370z 02-10-2010 04:47 PM

ANother no go for the media release! I hope he makes a new thread for the release becuase I am starting to really hate this one!

2fast4thelaw 02-10-2010 06:42 PM

I am not trying to piss on anyones parade but I think you guys are overly optimistic on the power estimates. I would be suprized if either this kit or the stillen will break much over 400 rwhp.

Have you seen bolt on dynos? With LTH, exhaust, intakes, and a tune you get enough power that anything under 400 whp would just about make this pointless.

It's not just about peak power, it's also about low-end and mid-range torque. Although a tuned naturally-aspirated VQ can put up solid peak numbers, it won't be able to hang with a forced induction kit (even a centrifugal SC-based one) in the rpm ranges where most street-driven cars are at most of the time.

SAM@GTM 02-10-2010 09:51 PM

Initial tuning has begun things are going well over all, i did have to stop due to a bad air fuel ratio sensor on bank one yesterday .

That was replaced this morning and I'm back on the car tuning. working on mainly driveability right now and then we will start focusing on power and dyno numbers.

Also we will be adding a boost and air fuel ratio gauge to the car tomorrow to give a better idea what is the car doing while we are taking the videos .

here is couple videos we took today of the car starting and idling, the car is very quite and you can not tell there is a supercharger on it, in a matter of fact you can here the bigger injector over the the whole supercharger system .

Sam
