Stillen Supercharger estimates???

Z Steve, A roots style will probably require some type of hood modification for clearance. STILLEN will most likey be using a roots sytle similar to what they used on

Z Steve,
A roots style will probably require some type of hood modification for clearance. STILLEN will most likey be using a roots sytle similar to what they used on the 350Z. That was an Eaton M62, hopefully they are using a new Eaton TVS style R1320 or an R1900 for the 370Z.

A centrifugal style won't require any hood modification. However, due to the dual side intake, a centrifugal style requires a little more hardware than you might think. GTM has a SC kit like this for the 370Z already. You may also want to check the thread about the Vortec SC as well.

I picked my car up from Vortech on Friday, (they had it for over a week doing R&D) looks like they abandoned the idea of going centrifugal due to lack of space under the hood. :-(
They did mention the possibility of a twin screw mount, since they build them for other platforms. Only issue is the hood will have to be changed or modified. I'll be in touch with them about dropping the car off for the twin screw if/when they decide to move forward on it.

Thanks for all the info, Minicobra. Does Vortech want to know if 370Z owners would be willing to get a different hood like with the Stillen 350Z supercharger? Perhaps another poll is in order.

Just thought I'd jump in here and offer a little update.

I was walking through the shop last week and I saw an interesting site. The supercharger development car was running! The hood was closed! and I could see our engineers inside with their laptops! That's right folks, our supercharger is nearing completion! Shouldn't be much longer now!

Oh and for the record, we are working with a very reputable electronic tuning company to do all of our tuning directly through the ECU. No more piggyback? Could be!

Stock hood closes AND no reliance on a piggyback? Hell, yeah!! Is this going to be shown at SEMA? Hope so!
