It's all good, when I made the thread the only supercharger I knew of for the 370Z was the "secret" stillen kit

I'm not super familiar with superchargers but I am slightly familiar and I've seen people asking for twin root and stuff but wouldn't a centrifugal work better for higher numbers and still getting that immediate response ?

No offense but that wasn't a great link, not bad, but not great. I understand how they work, I just don't have a lot of experience with them and don't understand why people would want roots(which i was under the impression sucked) compared to a centrifugal.

roots makes low end torque, where a centrifugal is like a turbo and needs to spool up, so it makes its power in the upper rev band.

I've installed and driven both types on 350z, and I preferred my roots to the centrifugal. On my C6, I went with centrifugal, which I preferred over the Callaway roots that I drove at a corvette school. The corvette already has a lot of low end torque though.

if you go roots the best one on the market right now is the TVS eaton unit, but why bother with roots or centrifugal when you can get a whipple twinscrew that has the low end of the roots and the high end of the centrifugal, yet requires less effort to turn and provides cooler air charge temperatures?

If the whipple is so perfect then why are people even bothering with the roots or centrifugal? There has to be a down side.

Whipples are harder to manufacure, require very close tolerances and so have been traditionally more expensive.

Will the Harrop TVS fit on the 370z? If it will with the right parts im going to shoot myself. I bought one for my cobalt and then sold it when i got the 370z..lol.
