I would agree. $1200-1500. Since no body has actually installed one on a G yet I've gone through the entire installation just to try my best to verify it'll fit. You're estimate is fair.

I was all in on a GTM supercharger kit, but between this and possibly a Vsr kit, the turbos look tempting...The price on this kit is awesome, I know this has been covered before but being lowered and being in PA the turbo under the car just scares me, I don't know why, I guess because I have run over stuff before... Is there enough clearance to build some kind of protection plate for the turbo? What would be the difficulty in how much you have to take off to get the trans out it I had to? Also does anyone have any issues with heat that's its so close to the trans? Also, I have Z1 headers, would it be a hassle to get DE flanges welded on instead of the HR flanges?

The turbo is really tucked up away from danger. I also have been considering making an underpan to protect the turbo and piping. I can't say if there is room as I'm not running the kit yet. To pull the tranny you would have to remove the manifold piping, just a few bolts and some v bans. Probably not more than another 30 mins to hr for a shop.

Just read the instruction manual, hats off for being so meticulous with it! This install is cake...also anyone know if there is room for a custom crash bar in the front like vsr did? I don't want to trash the whole front of the car and the cooler if I happened to get in a fender bender...I honest like the VSR a bit more, it does not have as many parts, no oil pump, one wastegate, and the crash bar, but I am a DIY kind of guy, I think that's what I like about this kit so much about this kit...

This is the best option for turbo'ing the 370z in my opinion. My only concern for this kit would have been the scavenge oil pump, but in reality thats not even an issue. There are guys that have been running a variation of this kit ( a BP mid mount) on 350z's for years now, and I havent heard of a single issue regarding the pump or failure of the pump. So like I said, I will have no second thoughts about it.

The VSR kit places the turbo toward the top of the engine bay if im not mistaken. Correct me if im wrong. Engine bay temps would probably be significantly increased due to this. I dont have the kit, nor do I have knowledge of the kit itself, but it seems that heat build up would be inevitable due to the turbos placement.

The two wastegates is actually a benefit to this kit. Sure its another part but it provides an advantage. This kit utilizes a twin scroll turbo. I dont know the proper wording to describe the difference between a twin scroll and a single scroll, but I know Sasa has explained it somewhere here on the forums. Im sure a quick google could shine light on the subject as well.

Clearance to ground with this kit is not an issue at all. Everything is tucked up, and all the customers that have installed were actually very surprised at how tucked everythin is. You guys with 3" down pipes on TT turbo kits will have your down pipes hang much lower than anything with this kit.

Have a closer look at the pics below as a reference on where things are:

Wastegates:

In order to do a proper twin scroll turbo kit both banks have to be seperated all the way to the turbine. This is what makes the twin scroll as efficient as it is. These are also Tial wastegates, the best you can get in the business, and I have yet to see one fail with over 80 turbo kits out there.

Scavenge pump:

I have sold over 100 of these, and not one has ever failed. They are $400, built to last 10,000 hours. Nothing like the pumps you will find on STS turbo kits for example. I have customer who take their car on 1500 mile round trips without ever having any concerns on any of the component that come with this kit. I have almost 30,000 miles on my own car with all the same component that you guys get with this kit...I have never had anything fail, and this includes 50+ passes at the drag strip.

Install cost:

This will be the cheapest kit of all FI options to install if you take it to a shop. $1,200 is a good estimate. This is what I charge to install it. It really is straight forward.

Crash bare:

It is possible to get something built for sure. I can't see it beeing overly expensive either. It is also something I will look at this spring once one of the donor cars comes back before another tune.

Looks really nice! Are there any plans at all to develop an RHD kit? You would more than likely gain a few extra sales if that was at all possible. Keeping the crash bar or developing an alternative for it would also be fantastic.

Does the price of the turn-key kit also include a full etune or only a very basic tune?

Great response...as always. I could probably have someone fashion a crash bar for me just as long as there is room...I guess in reality my issue is not clearance it does look good...just the possibility of damage from debris...for example I, had the pleasure of skipping my carcar over a dead deer carcass just before winter...broke my lip to pieces and had to take a hammer to undertray...it wasnt pretty...anyway...If I could get the flange issue worked out this looks like the way to go....I'll pm you later.
