It would be awesome if Sam started a Q&A thread for installation questions and other stuff that might come up.

Now there's an idea and to think how much time it would save them if they had more issues already covered in a Q&A.. I wanted to support gtm in my future wants and needs for my build but when they cant even get back with me on items Iam needing it tells me they are getting too big for their own good. Understanding they have their hands full working on alot of new and upcoming things customer service and return business should always remain at the top of the list... Knowing mike will get on here tomorrow and see this only to make excuses for why gtm cant keep up with their own products I conclude my rant is over...:tiphat:

I only wish they had more time and people to help others who have vested in their company to be able to help and follow up when needed...

ba

I used a Snow Performance kit the jet size ,I don't remember b/c that was last year I don't use it anymore but it did yield about 30 rwhp.

Would you get a better delivery if you drilled into the plenum for the meth?

From what I understand you would only have to use 1 jet instead of tapping 2 of the intake pipes. Don't quote me on that though.. I have a friend in texas with a aps single turbo kit on his 2003 350z with almost 200k and he uses the aem meth injection kit. Seeing that and after riding in his car has made me a believer in going with the meth kit.:tup:

Meth kits can use 1-6 ports depending what type of system you want to run. Look on GTM's website or google search some of there setups. They have a lot of different ways to set up meth kits. Some are pretty amazing but not for me.

Here's a dumb question do you need to tune the cat with the meth injection or can you add it on after with no need to tune

I'd always recommend a retune after adding meth, but it really depends on what you want from it. You'd need a retune to add the additional power it would allow you. You might be able to get away with not retuning it if you're just using it to increase octane for safety, and not adding any more timing. That being said, I'd always retune after adding something like meth on a FI car.

Copy that! I would like to be able to get the hp numbers I want and at the same time be able to run less boost

This exactly. Right here is why I want to go meth - just to keep the motor running stronger and under less pressure. Long term baby. :happydance:

I'm at lunch note but after I'll look into the AEM meth kit and do a little research

I would be careful putting too much faith in meth being a reliable safety blanket for a stock engine. Certainly meth injection will decrease the likelihood of detonation, which is one major source of engine failure. However, even if you do not have any detonation, increasing the power level of a stock block with meth will still start to push you up against the limits of the stock parts. Too much power is too much power quite independently of detonation. I'm not suggesting that meth isn't a good idea, only that meth is no substitute for a built engine if you want to go for big numbers.
